The pitch

I don’t understand why it’s so bad or at best average. The mags pitch is a carpet in comparison I noticed in the CL. The ball runs smooth on every pass and it’s quite fast aswell. Ours is slow and bobbly as owt. They have the same climate and higher stands so there’s no excuse in my view. It’s been shite for years and it’s not really good enough

The mags will probably start chanting about their pitch now.

Our pitch is below ground level and theirs is a literal cathedral on a HILL!!!

Don’t know what difference that makes like, maybe temperature, we may get more wet weather when the sea is factored in.

Bad design of the stadium in respect of the pitch is the reason it is as it is. Lack of sun, poor air flow and so on.

When compared to the lawn green that Roker Park was, it’s a bit rubbish.

Cheers mate. Taken the shine off battering six points off them.

Wa aanlee want a pitch that dries... :(

Roker Park was completely open on one side and not enclosed on any of the 4 corners.

No modern stadium would be designed like that. Completely different era.
How are ones with a similar up to ours in much better condition then?

Well the mags is more open on 2 sides and massive on the other 2 sides. I have no idea why the pitch has been slightly dodgy?

I do know Roker Park was always immaculate and the the skunks pitch was always shite by way of comparison.

What's with the white all over the seats and around the running track
The boring answer to kill time before our kick off is probably due to the viewing angle. It's seeing more of the concrete walkway, given the seats are folded up so far thinner than when looking at normal angle straight on. Along with reflections on the top edges of the seats, the sun will have also bleached more of the edges than the backs you usually see. The track could well do with a tidy up but again the viewing angle from above will be a bit whiter then looking from the side.

Seagull shite
There's some massive ones dropped near the East Stand halfway line

Aye but Tommy Porter looked after the pitch at Roker Park till he was finished cos he was getting more likes than Peter Reid.😝
