SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

If potentially tickets were going to waste and the ticket office was offering no help I would sell a ticket to anyone rather than the ticket be wasted and money going down the drain. Who wouldn't?
But this must have been a pre agreed sale if this "Arsenal fan" was going all the time, rather than just shifting a spare.

To be clear, I’ve had no dealings with any chief operating officer in any capacity.

I also have no idea as to who made the decision regarding me, all I know is who communicated the outcome to me.

I found those minutes on the internet and with what’s going on at the moment (in no way in relation to my situation) I thought it worthwhile posting them.

There’s examples of changes to how processes have worked for example the queuing system has changed (I believe this season) to a random selection rather than 1st come first served that we had previously. I personally haven’t been affected by that change so have no view either for or against the change. The only view I have is that the change should’ve been communicated.

The implementation of different season ticket queues between General Admission and Corporate, again this has had no impact on me as I don’t use corporate. I am only aware of stories on this forum about fans in corporate being placed at the back of the queue for general admission if they choose to leave corporate.

The removal of loyalty points for non attendance at away games is only a very recent change as up until Manchester City on 6 December 2025 loyalty points weren’t removed (I may be incorrect in that, however, that’s my understanding).

A right to be forgotten (in relation to GDPR) is between myself and Sunderland AFC and has no impact on my right to post on social media. I have not posted anything that is not in the public domain.

If I’ve caused offence to anyone I shall no longer post on this forum.
Just a quick one you mention removal of loyalty points since Man City, I've actually just today noticed my niece had hers removed for Fulham some 2 weeks prior to Man City, as it happens I will challenge this as she was there with me on the day. I've only checked because following Mags away mine, hers and 2 others in my group had ours removed for non attendance on the day, I feel the common demoninator was we all used the lift, on the day scanner was erratic to say the least at the lift doors. I did challenge this providing photos of us in the ground and despite the ticket office manager initially refusing to review this and accept evidence citing system was correct and saying I had to get Newcastle to admit scanner was not working correctly, they did relent later in week and points were re-awarded.Whilst its easy for me to say dont be too down heartened with all the knocks your getting, we all know you did lots for real fans. Ftm

I personally know one lad who got tickets from him last season and all through this season. He does not have a season ticket and is a self professed Arsenal fan. He went away because his group of mates are Sunderland fans and they all got tickets through the lad who got caught.

It’s not true that that lad was helping lifelong Sunderland fans. He was selling to anyone who produced the cash. The Arsenal lad thought he had a ticket for Newcastle away but it was one of the ones removed. He has admitted his Sunderland away days are probably now over.
Some serious accusations here mind, this could get dirty.

Not really even if it is true it would be the same case in any branch where plenty without the adequate points get a match ticket through a branch who are looking to fill a bus and using the membership numbers with loads of loyalty points to get enough tickets.

Didn’t they used to allow returns for away tickets? Another retrograde step stopping doing this. Years ago I was at Christmas so went to the club shop. Went into the ticket office on the off chance they had returns and got a pair for Man City. She reckoned they’d just come back in. It was once possible to return them so now that’s no longer possible then they should he allowed to be passed on. As others have suggested losing the point would make point farming impossible but that would be effort on the ticket office’s part.

This will have probably been stopped as I used to work with a lad who'd buy a ticket for every away game. He'd either go himself or sell the ticket fir the points. If he couldn't sell it, he'd just return it.

Arseholes spoiling it for the everybody

I couldn’t do Bournemouth and missed West Ham with illness on the day.
9 days before Bournemouth I tried to return them to give someone else a chance. The reply I got from them after the game, possibly a week after was no refunds, no resale on returns. The quality of reply was like a child on an etcha sketch and may as well of said fuck you and fuck anyone else that wants them. Oh and it said we were too busy to respond before the game with season ticket renewals.

I did reply to that ,with the statement Im not surprised as you have made a right pigs ear of that and the person in charge will surely be sacked. Regards Bournemouth I have not asked for a refund so don’t see the relevance to that part of your childish shoddy reply.

Funnily enough I’ve not had a word back

Wow

I have pretty much done every game. Missed Burnley away as it was a bank Holiday weekend and the wife wanted to go away. Missing Villa as we are visiting my sister that weekend. Pretty much done all the rest. Got a Wolves ticket and will also get an Everton one. I won't be doing that many next season, especially the London and South Coast ones.

I finished the 92 at Everton in the Cup which was great. I will lose less in the cut off this season than I did last year and am now pretty much gauranteed phase 1 for every game. I will use that to miss a few next season. I was in phase 2 for Brentford, Oxford and Bournemouth by 1 or 2 pts this season and got all three. I knew at the start of the season I needed Brentford for the 92 so tried for every away game to keep my pts as high as possible but it wasn't enough to get into Phase 1 for that match. I was 1 point off.
Re the lad who got banned and was sorting out tickets for people.

How many Sunderland away games has this arsenal fan been to ?

They never sent my Brighton ticket despite informing them five times that it had not arrived.
Went to the ticket office on the Monday after and they blamed me for it, gave them printed screenshots, told them if you are going to tell lies make sure no one has any evidence, they refused a refund so I got it through my bank.
They aren’t fit for purpose.

Thought a purchase had to be forgive £100 for Section 75 to apply?

Ive never seen or heard of this Arsenal fan and there isnt many sub groups within the overall group.
The only groups of Arsenal fans I’m aware of are:

1 Arsenal fan travelled with us to the game on 7th February. He was a friend of one of the lads in the group. All I provided him was a train ticket. He had a match ticket in the Arsenal end.

One of the “mini groups” within the larger group have some Arsenal supporters as good friends who the often meet up with when we’re playing in London and Arsenal don’t have a game on the same day. For example those Arsenal supporters met the “mini group” for a few beers before we played Watford iirc last season.
