SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

Stop digging man. It's perfectly reasonable example of the bloke being a dick. It's a very valid argument that nothing has changed.
Digging what exactly? Theres clearly an issue personally between this lad and the lad in charge of the ticket office.

Does that need airing in public? Does it help things? They clearly are at loggerheads, but you can't request a right to be forgotten under gdpr then post on here minutes from a 2022 meeting you weren't even at.

Everyone can see this is a shit show, but airing dirty linen in public, where one wont or cant reply isnt a great look in my opinion

Again, bringing up issues from 2022 reads more like a personal issue between the ticket bloke and a fan. It isnt a great look for either imo and needs sorting.

Has @SAFC2012 been brilliant for years, yes he has, is the ticket office a mess, yes it is.

Pointing our minutes from a different club 4 years ago doesn't help us deal with the here and now.

From the outside looking in, I would suggest there are faults on both sides and posting history wont help resolve it
Ffs. Right. Youve made your point.

Not sure agree with that.

RLB was in charge of Lorient a while ago who got relegated season after a good season (his first). People still mention this as something to monitor.

Never has an individual been blamed albeit a couple have been mentioned. One is the ticket office manager who is in charge of it. Another is the man who seemingly oversees it and was quoted after the announcement child tickets would be revoked if werent used sufficiently. Chelsea his only previous football employment is fair enough to mention imho.

The Chelsea minutes are online and freely available.

Fact is for many fans, and in particular away going fans, have very little faith or confidence in the ticketing operations of the club. This has barely improved since out of L1 and compared to the dual 7th place seasons is like comparing night and day. Nothing has changed and the 65 is latest proof of that. Dread to think what is next under current lot.

To be clear, I’ve had no dealings with any chief operating officer in any capacity.

I also have no idea as to who made the decision regarding me, all I know is who communicated the outcome to me.

I found those minutes on the internet and with what’s going on at the moment (in no way in relation to my situation) I thought it worthwhile posting them.

There’s examples of changes to how processes have worked for example the queuing system has changed (I believe this season) to a random selection rather than 1st come first served that we had previously. I personally haven’t been affected by that change so have no view either for or against the change. The only view I have is that the change should’ve been communicated.

The implementation of different season ticket queues between General Admission and Corporate, again this has had no impact on me as I don’t use corporate. I am only aware of stories on this forum about fans in corporate being placed at the back of the queue for general admission if they choose to leave corporate.

The removal of loyalty points for non attendance at away games is only a very recent change as up until Manchester City on 6 December 2025 loyalty points weren’t removed (I may be incorrect in that, however, that’s my understanding).

A right to be forgotten (in relation to GDPR) is between myself and Sunderland AFC and has no impact on my right to post on social media. I have not posted anything that is not in the public domain.

If I’ve caused offence to anyone I shall no longer post on this forum.

Appreciate the reply, but can you not accept its not really helping an already difficult situation?

Let's be honest here, you have had an issue with the ticket office for a long time, quite rightly you have mentioned it and been vocal in wanting better. Happing to post minutes from 2022 appears to be a bit of a low blow, especially when the person its aimed at wont reply.

You clearly have issues with how the clib is ran and obviously can help, maybe a middle ground can be found between you both?

The club don't seem to be interested in compromise

The lad is simply posting what he thinks will happen going forward based on what the ticket office manger has done in the past.

It'll be interesting to revisit this thread periodically over the next few years when one by one fans are chased out of the club for the tiniest breach of rules

Ok, god forbid id have an opinion that I feel doesnt help the lads cause.

As ive said numerous times, hes helped hundreds of fans get to games and perosnally I think the clin should be encouraging and working with him.

Posting minutes from a 2022 meeting or private emails (with the names redacted) dont help discussions in my opinion

Your entitled to your opinion

And people are entitled to disagree with it

Of course they are,

Personally I think there needs to be open and honest dialogue between the club and the branch.

There also need to be complete transparency about the clubs dealings and the branches in previous seasons tickets.

All we have at the minute is he said she said with little to no fact and the worst thing is every branch is now tarred with the same brush

And that is 100% on the clubs toes .

They've decided to act like a complete bunch of then double down on it

There is no open and honest dialogue with the club . There never has been .

Again, I dont believe airing random stuff here is the best look for anyone
You are repeating the same thing over and over again . Who do you think you are telling the lad to not bring up certain things? Hes been banned from the club for years and none of the so called fans groups, podcasts, representatives have done a thing. The club have not listened or done anything to warrant your support. The cheek of having repeated digs at the lad, you should be ashamed

Ok, apologies for having an opinion
