SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

Same here mate, one of the reasons why I did not renew this season, not the main one though

Firestick diehard now

I know loads where I live (lots of plastic mancs & Scousers… and (weirdly) Chelsea) where this is the norm.

They think I’m a bloody idiot going to games every week when they watch the same football for a relative pittance.

According to them, I’m improving the product they get on the cheap by helping create a better atmosphere at the games they watch from the comfort of their TV with the heating on & a beer in hand.

I’m coming more & more around to the idea that the difference in time & money spent makes me the fool in those conversations.

They try to claim there is a connection between the club and the fans but that’s only ever for marketing purposes. One of the photos used for the season ticket renewal campaign of you “make the difference” featured a young lad standing on his seat holding a red smoke flare/smoke bomb, obviously showing the passion they wished to foster.

They then used the same photo to identify the lad and remove his season ticket
Surely this cant be true, sad state of affairs if it is.

Nor is your rubbishing of it but you were happy enough to post that gif
Point me in the direction of a reliable source and I’ll happily concede.

I agree that the way the lad has been treated appears to be harsh and needs looking at, but a lot of the “stories” appearing here now (someone in the ticket office selling tickets to the Mags game for £500 etc.) smell like horse shit to me.

It will discredit the genuine and justifiable complaints that we have if they are mixed with half truths and fiction.

At the end of the day mate it's everyone to their own.
I would not criticise any SAFC fan for what they choose.
I have had season ticket since 1988 when I 1st moved up here.
I've been through the shite times.
I still consider myself still an SAFC supporter albeit via armchair..
My heart will always be with the club
SAFC Till I Die

I've just told you his family sit next to me, told me all about it. Is that not reliable enough or do you need to see it on Look North?

You've just made that up, nee one at all has said that.

100% agree and totally understabd why you'd go down that route. My comment was to point that you're far from alone in this - and I expect many more to follow (across all clubs).

Moyes just about killed me off altogether and I might have never come back if it wasn't for my son getting into the club

Iv said it before I wonder how many people have been helped in the last few days before game on this board? In regards to getting tickets passed to them, I can imagine itl be quite a lot can’t see anything wrong with it the ticket office have no way on us sending them back etc in time for resale the fans helping fans is the way it’s always been and should be. The work the branches and @SAFC2012 have done for fans and this club is nothing but tremendous and should have been allowed to continue! Fans first

I referenced an employee within the club. There are numerous departments within a football club.

Just odd that there’s 3000 posts about one lad getting his season ticket cancelled and when your mates lad got his cancelled, you (or anyone else) didn’t bother to post about it in here.

You're being a total berk on this thread mind and you're not the only one.

If you seriously think the worst ticket office in English football is without blame you're the one living in a fantasy world.
He hasn’t a clue

He’s a southerner and a dweeb, desperate to be a customer not a supporter - entirely clueless about the culture of the fanbase or the away ends

If he had some mates from within the culture he might get away end tickets

I seriously think you should re read my comments if you think that. I have agreed with the general theme of the thread and the clear shortfalls of the club in the situation tha has been described.

That doesn’t mean I can’t call bullshit on a poster.

1. The club is at fault for its treatment of fans over the Mags tickets

2. I don’t believe a kids picture was used by the club as a promotional picture and then the same picture was used to ban the lad.

Both things can be true.

I have.

I’m not.

I’m not.

I’m a bit too old to get into debates about whose got the most mates but you’ll realise this when you leave school.

You are doubting the word of good, loyal Sunderland fans without any evidence whatsoever to back it up.

You have taken the side of the ticket office too.

You've made a total clown of yourself 🤡
