Just how did Sunderland slay the entitled neighbour up the road? Well it wasn't that difficult really. They played with no recognised striker up top, convincingly lost the midfield battle and had no substitutes to dictate any change. This aside, Sunderland had a solid game plan they largely stuck to and aside from gifting Newcastle United a goal inside of 10 minutes, they executed their plan pretty well. A second half performance of perfection sealed what might easily have been a larger score line on another day.

What I like about their goal is how after the first game, one solace they were desperately clinging to was the notion that they had to score the goal for us. So we've gone up there, returned the favour with an absolute gift, and then proceeded to beat the bastards fair and square with two good goals. :lol: The winner, we absolutely cut them to shreds.

And they can claim fatigue but brought 6 players on!

And we had two of our three best players this season missing, in Roefs and Mukiele. Not to mention our best centre back and both left backs. Oh and one proper fit winger, in Talbi.

At the time, I was thinking get some subs on Regis, but watching the analysis back ya realise we didn't really need to as we were in control.

I've never agreed with subs for the sake of it. Derby games get ya a bit tetchy though. :lol:

Absolutely bizzare logic even by the mags standards. Clueless twats piling in agreeing nonsense with each other.

We scored via an OG, they were piss poor (we weren't despite their awful '2 poor teams' lifting crack) and we just kept them at arms length. We would have been pushing for a winner if they hadn't scored but the momentum of the game had changed. We managed the game, saw it out comfortably and won. It's literally how football works. The result is all that matters at the end of the day.

Do Man City fans say Palace wouldn't have won the FA Cup if their keeper hadn't saved a penalty? Nope. It's just a mag coping mechanism that doesn't fool anyone. Losers.
