Victor Munoz €25m

All things are relative and a solitary goal is a poor return for a winger who may well also need an acclimatisation period in the PL. We already have enough young prospects, I just think we need someone who we’re confident can do it from the off and improve the starting X1. Harry Wilson has 10 goals and 6 assists this season.
Aye but Wilson will be after £120k a week, we won’t sign many if any from the prem imo

No way Xhaka is on £120k a week here mate imo. He'll have load of bonus related deals in his contract i would imagine.

A quick Google throws up figures around the £110k/week mark with Forbes magazine suggesting we bested his €8m Leverkuson salary by €2m

“How did we get here? The main reason is money. Although Leverkusen is a top team in Germany, Sunderland was willing to top Xhaka’s current salary of €8 million ($9.3 million). Sunderland reportedly offered €10 million ($11.6 million) a season”

Very surprised if so.

I suspect there’s a fair few now who are light years ahead of where we’ve been salary wise. Mukiele is rumoured to be on £80k/week and there’s like of Reinildo on a free from Atletico and Le Fee from Roma won’t have come cheap.
Yeah, 80k would be the mark i'd expect us to be operating in....free transfers would also demand a higher wage.

Falling into the traps that got us into bother under short.

Under Short they were all like that. An odd signing of the calibre of Xhaka is good for balance.
He’s nowhere near the calibre of Xhaka tho is he? Xhaka was one of the best players in the world and in the top 20 of ballon’dor.

Wilson’s had one really good season this season, he’s been average at best in the other PL seasons.

He’ll soon be 30 and will want a fortune in wages.

Would I have him? Probably, but my concern is he’s a one season wonder and on huge wages.

To be honest, you can't argue with it - he's been worth every penny

Harry Wilson has had one good season with Fulham scoring & assists wise, rather look elsewhere he want a big signing on fee & big wages

Harry Wilson is very much the exception not the norm

Harry Wilson will command a wage off around 120k a week at the East with no sell on value. This lad will probably command 50 to 60k with a potentially huge fee incoming if he does well.
