‘Glasgow Rangers’.

I've travelled to a lot of away games following Sunderland and the only place I've seen anything approaching violence was at Cardiff. The people causing problems will cause it anywhere for any reason. Mind you, a mag at Shrewsbury was going to take on the full Sunderland end. I don't know of any 'home fans only' pubs in Sunderland.

Think we have some of the best fans ever, proud of them, trust them with my 5yr old teeny nibling I brought to a play off... we lost again of course but all the way out with the horrible fans who won shouting at us they had my nibling on their shoulders and absolutely made his day.

That does not mean that football related racism and violence is not a problem throughout this country though. Because our fans are so boss we can't say there isn't a big problem elsewhere and there aren't things we could improve on.

Not much though as we are so class.

Just seen it. I mean I don't care for either but it was clearly Celtic fans behaviour and coming onto the pitch than was the catalyst.

Mind the stewards and police were useless. First just letting Celtic fans come onto the pitch without challenge, letting them arse about amongst them. Then Rangers fans were allowed to stroll on and then back off the pitch without challenge too.
Think they will have been captured on video by the plod & arrests will follow.....however it will be difficult to arrest the gers will all those spiderman masks knocking around.

What the fuck is all that about? Absolutely ridiculous attire for a game of footy che.

I’ll keep in mind to be as broad as possible in any of our future conversations. You just let me know where I should start and end on a topic

I’m happy to be corrected but I think perhaps that you really want the balance of blame to be in favour of Celtic fans. If that’s what you want then go for it. Despite objective reality.

Nobody is changing your mind Gordon. I hope you feel better.
Celtic fans stormed the turnstiles. Celtic fans first entered the pitch. Celtic fans trashed the stand. So yeah I'm mainly blaming Celtic fans but as I've said dickheads both sides.

I wouldn’t even waste your time.

There’s an underlying distaste toward Celtic fans with some people.

That could be for any reason. I hope it’s not for religious or racial reasons.
From growing up in Scotland I’d say this the classic Celtic victim mentality I’d expect, Celtic fans on here with the whataboutery whilst trying to come across morally superior to their rivals. The same in every pub across Scotland you get the same kind of chat.

Folk seem to think unless you counter anything with a “aye Rangers are just the same tbf” you’re a Celtic hater, but it’s just pointing out what appears to be factual that Celtic started it yesterday by entering the pitch, play it down as celebrating all you want, nobody is buying it.

...aye, one example 5 years ago is a problem today like...you are clutching Cat i'm afraid.....deleded some would even say.
Google league of Ireland violence, there’s probably more examples there than in the English games. Was only a year ago Derry and Bohemian’s were attacking each other with weapons. It just doesn’t get reported the same, because there’s mo exposure to it over here. The rise in the Ultra movements in Scotland and Ireland has seen a rise in this sort of thing.

Tbh she was saying over here and i'm saying there is none over here.

English football is not without its unpleasant element. But English football does not have two clubs whose support is primarily defined by its racial hatred for another group. Never mind its two biggest. And I can guarantee that if any English football clubs were defined by such supporters the media wouldn’t bang on about how marvellous the atmosphere was all the time, but for some reason this hideous pair gets a different set of rules.

No one cares. How many people are religious nowadays? Scottish / Irish people that make up the Celtic support are white predominantly. Isn't the racism in the UK and Ireland aimed at brown skinned people overwhelmingly?
