ID checks for away tickets

Yep, several emails back and forth but no joy - after initial 'unfortunately we cannot readd the point in this occasion' got a bit more back from them when I suggested it came across they were insinuating I was lying, but alas still a point short!

"We fully understand the commitment and cost involved in following the team away, especially for a ninth trip this season, and we do not question that dedication.

However, when there is a discrepancy of this nature, we are required to rely on the official attendance and scan data provided to us by Arsenal FC. The visiting club controls the stadium entry systems and provides the verified post-match reports, and we have to base any decisions on that official information.

In terms of what you can do going forward, unfortunately there isn’t a specific additional action we can formally recommend (such as rescanning or recording at the turnstile), as we would still ultimately be bound by the host club’s official scan report. That said, if you ever notice an issue at the turnstile — for example, if it doesn’t clearly confirm entry — we would advise raising it immediately with the nearest steward or ticket office on the day so it can be checked and logged there and then.

We completely appreciate how frustrating this situation is, particularly when you know you were present. While we must rely on the data supplied by the host club, please be assured this is not about questioning your honesty but about following the official reporting process we are governed by."

Someone’s swallowed the chat gpt ticket balls up line.
Terrible by the club

Getting ridiculous now. We really are in the land of 'computer says no' and slaves to the machine.
Exactly, surely it’s easier for the club to Email Arsenal and take up the problem, they’re not interested as that means doing their job.im like slacksafc,me and the bairn have photos from the day,we were even in the echo photo compilation.
I would be like you,livid.

i know it's clutching at straws but could you look on the echo website where they put fan pictures up and see if you are in any of the pictures? like i said, a long shot but you never know.
it's a poor situation to be in and i'd be vexed to buggery as well.

Did someone not have this recently for a game and got the point added on.
I was missing 3 points from the change over, others missed points too. Ticketing side still having issues which is a shame on everything
I emailed them in the summer as I was 2 points short after the change to seat geek. Was told they had a list and would be added within a month. Still not got them… absolute shit show

Yeah I was 1 point short for the play off semi, chased twice and eventually got it added

Good to get clarity on the ticket checks. Two missed checks and they'll be in touch, but could prevent you applying for future away tickets.

I thought they skirted around the question of what to do in genuine cases when you cant go a touch. Contact the ticket office. Which is fine if you know well in advance you cant go. But if its last minute (which it can be) thats not an option.

And acceptable forms of id a passport and drivers licence. Fine for the bulk of us but not everyone has this.

The reason they don’t do more than 10 is because of the staffing cost and how time consuming it is. No club check every single ticket. I’m assuming the sanctions next season for anyone caught passing their ticket on will be much more severe and this season is a trial run to weed people out / warn them off.

I noticed they also didn't give clarity on what happens if someone else turns up with your ticket. If you miss the check it seems pretty light touch, but if someone tries to scan in, gets rejected, and they find it's not the right person, what do they do then? Strange they didn't publicise that

When I missed v West Ham the ticket office didn’t open that day! They can’t say that is a valid line of response when it’s not actually available, who knows they are going to have the full family fighting for the bogs to be sick and avoid shitting the beds at 3.30pm the day before they are up at 2am attached to the bogs.
