A League One level footballer who gave his all for us when we were at that level. I don't see the issue people have with him, especially when it's in hindsight and not in the moment.

Oddly enough I remember thinking it was a very good signing getting a player from the Scottish Prem at that level. Shows how shite the standard is up there because he was anonymous every week.

Same here. Player at the right level giving 100% cant ask for more really
Winchester was very good for us in League One. Relative to other players in the division, he could play.
Power was better for us at RB than midfield really.

As a bloke I liked him a lot. Clearly cared and worked very hard when he was with us. Scored some crackers, too.
I think we asked a lot of our midfielders in L1 and they generally weren't creative enough to break teams down who were set-up to frustrate us.
Our forward line was inevitably weak and defence prone to conceding weak goals so we expected L1 quality players to have the nous to know when they needed to hold back, and when they needed to get up and support. If anything Power tried too hard to cover up other deficiencies in the side and went chasing lost causes. Corry Evans was far more intelligent in holding the role and knowing how to dictate play.
The very worst (in my opinion) of that era was Dobson - like a hyperactive puppy chasing a balloon. It's beyond my comprehension that he's been a regular in a rising Championship team at Wrexham.
