Hume Hybrid Role

His stats are very poor today.
His passing accuracy of 60% is the lowest of the team and his distance is low compared to others. 60% is the lowest of both teams by 20%. It’s not us who are wrong about his performance.
 

It worked okay with Xhaka because he often defended that space on the edge of the box.

The 3 in midfield currently don't have the same awareness or intelligence so we often leave a gaping hole in our system.

Going forward we've scored a couple of nice goals from Hume drawing a full back in to give space for Mukiele to cross.

That only works a couple of times until teams get wise. They can just leave Hume to drift into the space now because they know he won't create or score if he gets the ball.
 
we don't have enough creativity in attack and playing a defensively minded right back on the wing isn't helping. i just don't see what he offers in attack. it needs to be either him of Mukiele unless we are playing a back 5.

He made a couple of tackles yeah, but he also lost half of his ground duels, comfortably the worst of all our defensive players.

His passing was woeful bar one pass out to mukiele after their goal. By that point he’d only made 10 passes, and gave away the ball half of those. Once again, he had a 60% pass completion thanks to a couple of back passes just before his substition. 15% lower than the next player. Talbi and mundle came on with 10 mins to go and almost had as many successful passes as Hume played all match.
 
I’ve defended him to the hilt but you simply can’t keep playing him in there against the quality Arsenal and Liverpool have. Right back, absolutely no worries about the lad but he just doesn’t have the ability in there

He's a perfectly competent RB. But captaining the team and putting in the performances he is isn't acceptable. He's never going to take himself out of the team, but he shouldn't be in it, if it's not at RB.
 
Regis starting to show massive flaws with the hune situation, got a Holland international warming the bench and playing hume out of position over him
