Geertruida

Hume has given a few penalties away needlessly. His pass completion percentage isn't great either. RLB rates him quite highly for some reason so I'm fine with that.

Unless you break down where the pass completion percentages are from its pretty pointless stat though. Hume has been often wide or in attacking situations this season and a lot of passes can be crosses or passes into or around the final third. That's a lot different to midfielders and defenders playing the ball to each other in deeper areas.

Earlier in the season there was a stat based comparison between Hume and Masuaku in the Man United game where Masuaku came out marginally on top. But watching with your eyes (whilst taking into account Adingra's lack of cover) Masuaku was a bombscare. context and watching the impact players have with your eyes matters.

Hume plays because he's a good player, tenacious and playing him also allows Mukiele the freedom he wouldn't have with an out and out winger.
Gutted, doesn’t sound like we will be signing him does it. One of the Reggie things I don’t get, was a few last too but I guess he’s earned the right and know more than we do. Just looks like such a good player wanted by Liverpool played at such a high level and we don’t seem to want to sign him for what in reality is a smallish fee.

If Liverpool really wanted him they'd have signed him during the summer and despite being well known to Slot they weren't in for him. We'll also see if they're in for him during the summer coming- which I doubt.

Let's not kid ourselves here - he's a decent player, but if he was that good he'd have made a position his own this season and he's been nowhere near doing so - he absolutely wouldn'tbe in our best back four. Liverpool wanted him as they have injuries and a defensive crisis, whilst he's well known to Slot. He'll be a miss like as his versaitility is very useful.

Weh, one of the many Jones we have that probably aren’t at the standard to be part of the warm up never mind on the pitch. Squads always have injuries & absences & it is an actual fact we didn’t have a player available to replace him.

I’d be quite happy to bet my house that there’ll be more injuries before now & the end of the season.

That’s opinion on Ballard.

Diarra vs a relegation side at home vs potential champions away is a completely different situation. & I’ve highlighted quite heavily, it’s not ability, it’s on his injury record & fitness this season. We’ve got a match on Wednesday that he’s arguably going to give us a better chance of points than when we’re inevitably going to need more defensive a players in a back to the wall match.
I would be surprised if Diarra does not keep his place indefinitely now. Offered a serious goal threat v Burnley we have lacked all season. If we want someone to take advantage of Brobbey’s hold up play it has to be Diarra.

Didn’t know throw ins are counted. Seems ridiculous to do so.

We know the reasons, he’s totally committed, versatile and crunches opposition players well enough to affect games both physically and psychologically.
Are clearances, via head and feet, counted as passes?

He's not even that good at right back, I don't need stats to tell me that. He's the weak link everybody knows it but some won't admit it, nice chap and I hope he proves me wrong.

Has to begin starting him, particularly away from home. Flat back 4, Hume dropped, Gerty as defensive midfielder to cover the consistently unfocused centre backs away from home.
