Look North Korea toon night.

I remember when our away coverage was kicked off FM on BBC radio Newcastle to accommodate the Mags.
There were a number of down beaten posters on here saying it was justified because were were in League One, and Newcastle were now the regions main focus.

Well, we've been NE top dogs all season, but we're still banished from FM if the Mags are playing the same day.

100% this.

Very odd comment from @seahamstar.

He needs to spend more time on fmttm the smog site. I use it occasionally but I don't have an account or anything. Because I live in teesside i go on for teesside regeneration news, events etc etc not football although I do have a laugh at some threads like I'm sure they do on here.

They say Sunderland are obsessed with them because we have a thread about them on here, yet our second biggest poster on this site by posts made is seahamstar a boro fan, couldn't make it up.

Current thread on fmttm thats had me laughing is they are debating if they are a bigger club than Nottingham Forest the two times champions league winner, fa cup winners, league cup winners and champions of England vs Boro winning a mickey mouse cup in Wales vs Bolton. 80% think Boro are bigger. Its debatable if they are bigger than Notts County because I'm sure county have won an Fa cup.

The "woe is me" brigade love it.
I can’t work out if this comment is because you’re involved in the show, a mag or you want the show/channel to be ignored by people - because it isn’t based on objective reality.

Ah, apologies. I was confused because you said ‘rivals’(!) 😉

I'll admit that Boro have been a decent club over the years. I think Gibson in particular is a class act. You always have good crowds relative to where you are in the league and have an element who have done their best to help improve the atmosphere in the ground, consistently, which is commendable.

You had a great run in the PL and were pretty much a mainstay, you did well to win the cup and had a fantastic run in europe. In recent years, it's understandable why your fans would think you're bigger than Forest but historically this isn't the case and we can't change our history. I think if both clubs were on a level playing field, Forest would attract more fans and their name had a higher standing in football.

Mind as we've experienced this season, the PL money can be a leveller, but only if spent wisely. Not many teams have done what we've done but it sets a blueprint for other promoted clubs and gives them encouragement that staying up is not impossible and if done right, they can thrive. Of course maintaining it is the next obstacle, but we're on a very sound footing now. That said, it only takes one or two poor transfer windows and a failure to replace good players when they leave, but we've never been as optimistic as we are now.

Woah man I've been going to Sunderland matches since 1986, when boro nearly/should of died actually. Im no boro fan, born and bred in teesside but always been Sunderland.
