Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

Maybe that's what I get for staying to clap until the last player left the pitch. An extra 2 or 3 minutes can cost you 30 in traffick
I was still in the ground when the all the players had left the pitch, I'm sat quite far back so clap them off while waiting to get down the stairs

I always stay to the end but I also don't live in Sunderland. I got home last night at 11:30 and have to be up at 6:30 the next day to get to work.

With the Liverpool game starting even later, it is a bit of a bugger. I'll still do it, I want to clap the players off the pitch given this is our best team in 25 years, but you see why people don't.

Why I hate late night games rather than the classic 3pm saturday kick offs it should be.

Hows that? I live 15 miles away in Whickham. Didnt leave early and was home at 10.45.
Wear bridge/ North Bridge Street/ Dame Dorothy street congestion due to the Traffic light set up combined with the 1/2 hour car park freedom ruling after the match. Before any comments, I am unable to walk very far.
There was definitely more cars parked up around the ground than usual last night.
Yep , there was. I noticed that too but last night was not too bad in retrospect. I was also one of the last out of the ground due to the 1/2 hour thing.

Don’t think he’s far off. We left just before 90 and was back in Chester le street at 10.20ish. Staying the extra would have been 15/20 mins getting out from up the top of PC where we sit, slower up kier hardy way, then hitting the traffic that builds up along the 1231 up to the a19 roundabout. Probably saved 30-40 mins.
Deffo worth it then.
Do you walk there and back?

I live nearly 30 miles south of the stadium. I left on FT, dropped a passenger in Peterlee and was home at 11pm.
If he walked he'd be back quicker

Stopped til the end and clapped the players off, got a clear drive home with no traffic jams.
The stands looked terrible mind after a lot had left early, each to their own as ive left early countless times in the past but not when weve just won 3 nil.

Aye, along with all the cars continually parking on the double yellows and pulling out without a care in the world. I'm surprised there hasn't been more incidents.

Would take one or two games with a traffic warden slapping some tickets on and it would sharp stop. They're out every game checking the permit areas anyway.

Seems like some people seriously need to review where they park and the route they take home. Either that or there's a lot of exaggerating going on to justify leaving early. I live 20 miles away, always one of the last out the ground, 15 minute walk to the car - back home by 11 last night.

Ridiculous that double yellows are being used as official parking.
Yes mate. Before and after game. On both sides last night. Our supporter coaches were parked over road in the bus stop before the game. Big 52 seaters. Away coaches have been used up and down the side of kier hardy all season. They had closed it to one way after the games going away from the sol, but last night was open both ways again to traffic. Probs cos Burnley only had 1 or 2 coaches on kier hardy way. Every other game has been mental on there for away coaches parked on the double yellows all game.

Stopped till the end. Clapped the payers off for couple of minutes. Walked to parking at Tatham Street Hendon via a burger van for the chips for the bairn and still home in seaham for 10.50. Each to there own but it looks shite, particularly on the great run were on at home that a mass exodus is starting on 80 minutes with huge swathes already gone by full time. We'll look back on this run in years to come as a golden period in our recent history and its definitely getting took for granted now by a chunk of our support
