Could just be that Le Bris and co don’t fancy him. And since he’s currently a loan player don’t see it worth persevering with him.

The fact we are entertaining this suggests they already decided not to spend 20 million on him. This feels similar to the Guiu/Brobbey situation, so I’d expect us to buy any replacement rather than loan

But if we’re worried about conservatism against Burnley then that’s a problem that Geerty doesn’t fix anyway. Think it’s not all that conservative though, ultimately. Wasn’t against a better back 3 team in Palace. Would be better if we had Xhaka and Traore of course, but I’m fine with Hume doing that hybrid role so long as it doesn’t involve him rotating into the centre. From memory, every time he’s been able to just concentrate on the rhs he’s done very well indeed.

Losing Geertudia leaves us short in CM for me notCentre half. He hasn’t once play CB in a two all season. He had a 2/3 games as a centre half in a back 3 when Alderete was in concussion protocol. Geertrudia played at Chelsea/Arsenal and i think Everton at home in them games as a left sided Cb in a back 3 but his 4/5 games over xmas he mainly played as a CM.

So if we decide to play the back 5 again. After mukiele, ballard and alderete, o'nien is next in.... so we need another centre back aswell as a centre midfielder.

Aye maybe . Im just massively pissed off . Had a cracking sleep in for a change, stretched , had a sip of the tea our lass had put on the bedside , opened my phone to have another laugh at the Mags and this is literally the first thing I see . You can see how it spoils a mood .
