Thank you Dan Neil

It’s a good move for him. Hopefully it all works out - always been a big fan of his. There's no sentiment in football but I feel for him. He’s a huge part of how we got here

DN certainly grew on alot of people with his performances and development
Quite what happened in the end I guess we will never know
Ipswich will be a great opportunity for him now

Loved him as a player, just badly advised on his contract situation in my opinion as I still think theres a PL number 6 in there.

I’m still really surprised by the callous way he was treated. There were games where it was obvious that he was a better option but he hardly ever got his boots dirty.

Like on Saturday, there’s not a person in this earth who could convince me that Hume in CM is a better option than Neil.

Still, he handled it with dignity and he was a huge part of getting back to where we belong.

Good luck lad, all the best

Agreed, although by Saturday he was probably kept out due to imminent departure. But I also get that he probably still wouldn't have started in similar circumstances a few weeks earlier.

Hopefully gets involved at Ipswich and another reason to watch their games when on TV.

Dan reckons hes good enough for a PL team , some here agree he could be . I see no reason why ultimately he should leave if he looks like he is . He's got 4 months to prove it and the ideal scenario is that he does that and we say "OK then this is your offer "

Think Regis treatment of Neil has been shoddy at best tbh. Whilst he might not be Granit Xhaka, he certainly isnt so far away from prem quality that he should be sat watching Trai Hume in midfield.

It's a shame there'll be no send off.

I know we havent got time for sentiment but I just feel ditching him all together after he captained us this far was disrespectful.

He lived the dream.

Best wishes Dan.

He wasn't picked . That's the gaffas shout . He watches training etc . He's well respected but plenty players have had their nose put out this season . I like Dan ,he used to try some risky passing with great results and sometimes he'd get caught out and plenty fans got on his back .
He's got a good career ahead ,good luck to him
