Early Leavers - Again!

there was a hell of a lot of everton fans left early last week after extra time and during the penalty shoot out. each to their own like. same at spurs.

The “I’ll do what I want” brigade out in full force I see. We’re having the best season in a very very long time and people want to fuck off with one goal in it after yet another battling, dedicated home performance to turn it around and keep our home record in tact. Half the ground gone at full time looks absolutely shite for the players, tv coverage and other fans rightly take the piss out of the support. Continue to do what you like by all means but let’s not pretend it doesn’t have a negative impact because it does.

Ive got an awful feeling the first time we lose a game we should have got a draw from. Or draw a game we should have won.

They will get booed off like the mags sometimes do. Just watch

Who takes the piss? A don’t know a single ground that everyone stays unless it’s a huge game. Also what is the negative impact because I’m yet to see anything negative at the sol this season

Are you really?? Ha Ha.

Let me be honest here fella, I come and go as I please, sometimes get in late, sometimes go for a half-time pint on 40mins, sometimes leave early.

All of the above takes place as and when I decide.

When I do decide to leave early, its becuase I'll do as I want. You as a complete stranger are completely irrelevant to me.
That sounds like really shit support from someone who is apathetic to Sunderland AFC.

No wonder you're defending your actions as you are rattled why people care.
People care as most of us really love Sunderland.
We have to get our heads round the fact that there are loads of people that go to the game like you who genuinely don't really care that much about the football. It's just something to do but not that important.

Really? You aren't aware that good atmospheres , with fans behind the players helps the players ? Even though every player comes out and says this ?
Bizarre.
Well it does. Players love crowds being behind the team. It's why several make gestures to lift the support during the game.
And obviously the crowd backs the team better if they are there till the end , rather than exiting when the game is in the balance

Why does this still bother people, surely YOU go to watch and enjoy the game not watch people leaving.
It doesn't matter what others do it's not harming anyone.

Get over it.

I think the reasons it bothers people are clearly illustrated in the thread.

Sorry but I was one of the early leavers today, as I have done for each 3pm kick off this season. My wife has been in hospital since the 15th August and to get back to Bishop Auckland hospital for visiting time of 6pm I have to leave early. When kick off times allow I have stopped until after the game has finished.
Why would anyone with a genuine reason feel the need to post this !
f***ing hell. The annoyance is aimed at people who put beating the rush to leave over supporting Sunderland. The genuinely shit apathetic support.

I never understand fans booing your team after a defeat or leaving early after a win, especially if it is amongst a good season.

You hear it from teams top of the league. Them players for 100 minutes are performing for you. It's only at the end when they really start listening and looking at the crowd. After performing they stay on the pitch to get their interactions with the fans. That's why it's important we stay to applaud them and thank them for what they've done. If we lose then just acknowledge them and walk out.

It will never change apart from massive games .

I’d imagine many rush to the town to get a few pints in before their passes run out from their partner .

A lot are under the thumb 👍 😉

Everton are on a poor run . This is the best home form I’ve seen in the top league for many many years .

This thread is pointless.

No one is going to change their behaviour because some people on a football message board think they should do something different.

I think we have to accept that going to the match is a very different experience for everyone and that some people will always want to leave before full time and some people will want to to stay till the end.

That’s just the way it is, as Marc Coen said.
