Lucas Stassin (transfer rumour)

Madcap11

Central Defender
"Sunderland are continuing to monitor Lucas Stassin as they shape recruitment plans for their second Premier League season, according to talk in Europe

Reports in France suggest the Black Cats have identified the AS Saint-Étienne forward as a long-term target, with his profile understood to appeal to head coach Régis Le Bris. Stassin enjoyed a productive 2024-25 campaign, scoring 14 goals and registering eight assists, and has continued that form this season with four goals and three assists from 15 Ligue 2 appearances."

Liverpool were in for him last season I think.

Interesting. Thoughts?

yeah. look at sadiki.. he played excellent this season and we havent heard of him before... Doesnt matter what level he is. if they think he is good enough so be it. I dont care where's he come from.

Just pointing out it isn't that impressive in the French second division. His 1st division record is better though

like the look of this lad - Anderlecht academy too which is often a sign of quality
Indeed, which is where Sadiki also started out. It's a very good setup. I must confess I've never heard of him but know little about the French 2nd league.

Would take issue Sadiki was unheard of from another post: arrived at Sunderland with proven pedigree from top-tier Belgian clubs and real European minutes - not as some complete unknown.
