I've never seen him before so can't judge his ability, but it reeks of utter desperation. I don't understand how you can't tempt Gil Vicente to sell for any less than a 10,000% profit in 6 months. Their previous record sale was £7m.

This is the problem with buying in January. Selling clubs can smell the desperation so put every players value up 20%. It’s why I don’t see us buying a striker this window. You either have to take a huge risk like this or be willing to pay £80 million plus for a striker with any kind of pedigree

The premier league and most of the rest of Europe top leagues are a million Miles apart

Isn't it great not having to go through that this year? I mean, of course we should be looking to improve and challenge as high up the table as possible, but we don't need to be held over a barrel. I don't think we'll sign a striker either. In fact I'm not sure we'll make any signings designed to make a short term impact other than to provide squad depth.
