Brennan Johnson (signed for Palace)

Because they bought Kudus, Tel and Simons in the summer.

And they’ve got Kulusevski and Maddison to come back from injury still. Odobert starting to progress as well

Basically, if you add Bergvall and Richarlison, they’ve got about a million wide forwards.

Of all those mentioned, there's only really Kudus and Kulusevski who you'd really call wide men. Even then, I think Johnsons best season for numbers was when he was used through the middle, so he wasn't really that effective out wide. He's decent but I don't think bringing him in would dramaticly raise our goals/assists tally for that price. Mind Johnson looks twice the player that Xavi Simmons is....what a bag of shite!

Good player imo, suprised if he ends up at Palace tbh.

Glasner will be off end of the season, as will Guehi. If Wharton has a good world cup you would imagine he'll be off also.

Can see a similiar story to Bournemouth - losing one too many players will eventually catch up with them.

Think he’s a class player myself. How he’s not playing regular at spurs I’ve no idea. Cant see us getting him though.

He’d be great and it’s good we suddenly feel like we’re a better proposition than someone like Palace who are cup winners. I forgot how it feels to lose out to teams in London it’s been that long

'Le Bris, a reluctant orator of this most dramatic of transformations, confirmed quietly before the visit of City to the Stadium of Light on Thursday evening that Sunderland have tried to break their record transfer fee once more, with a move for Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson, who appears to be close to joining Crystal Palace. Just a potential £33.5million signing then, dropped into the end of a conversation. Bear in mind the most Sunderland paid for a player for five years was the £3million that went to Wigan Athetic for Will Grigg in 2019.'
