Needs to go elsewhereWas at Kilmarnock vs Falkirk, awful game, standard was terrible. If Trey can't get a kick there (he didn't come on) he's a long way off playing premier league.

Probably a case of standing out in U21 football because he's physically bigger and quicker than most there but in proper mens football is finding it a struggle, hopefully comes back and gives him a kick up the arse to put the work in to get to the next level. As a Falkirk fan I checked this forum to see if there was any information on if Trey's loan would be terminated. I see there has been some posts querying why he isn't playing so I thought I would share some information on his loan spell thus far.
Falkirk's have just had back-to-back promotions, due to this most of our squad are players we signed in the third tier - we have signed some English loanees to bump up the quality of our squad. Trey was signed as a pacey option as our other two strikers are a target man/link up play guy and a 38 yo poacher.
So far Trey's game time has been limited however in the games he has played he hasn't particularly impressed, he has started twice and came on in 6 games. The only real positives I could say I have seen are; he got a shot on target against Celtic, had some ok layoffs and he has won a couple of headers. I think the reason Trey has had almost no game time recently is his sub appearance against Livingston. This was a really tight game in which we were leading and we subbed on Trey with 30 mins to go. Falkirk play a very intense pressing game and the strikers are expected to press from the front however Trey was was just jogging around and never seemed to break into a sprint once or close down a defender. Our management team were going berserk at his lack of press and the fans (who are noted as being one of the most positive around) were getting really frustrated at Trey's ambling around, we ended up drawing the game and Trey has only featured in 1 game out of 6 since this appearance - he did seem to be trying harder in his further appearance to be fair. He also doesn't look particularly pacey which doesn't help as that was noted as a key reason he was signed.
Unfortunately for Trey our other loanees from English league teams (Leicester, Swansea and Man Utd) have impressed so he sticks out a bit and our other two strikers have done well. I think this loan has maybe come too early for him and he isn't the required quality in this league, being 100% honest I think he looks like he should be playing in the Scottish Championship. I'm not sure what his future holds but you would expect Sunderland don't want him sitting on the bench and he may leave, we also have a highly rated loanee returning to us in January. Maybe this is the wrong place at the wrong time and he will smash it elsewhere with more game time but I don't think he is quite ready for our level and he will need to up his work rate in the future. We'll see what happens in January.
guess that 15m is now 5Seelt having a nightmare recently with pens given away and OG.
Do you think he can ever be Prem level?I watched the Wolfsburg Vs Freiburg game. Jensen Seelt played like Kirchhoff did in his debut for us. Clearly a decent player, but, having an incredibly unfortunate game.
Absolutely. He's a better player than Dan Ballard was at that age, so there's no reason why not, if he carries on developing.Do you think he can ever be Prem level?
4 clean sheets in 20 matches, 2 penalty saves and 1 assist...How many clean sheets for Matty Young with Salford?
I wouldn't worry too much, yes I'd like to see him get more game time, but sometimes unsuccessful loans can have as big an impact as successful ones, look at Triantis and Mayenda at Hibs.Trey should have went to a league 1 or league 2 team over here, where he can play every week. Just turned 19 so need to rush him into a level above his ability just yet.
Aye that’s fair enough mate but I look at Bainbridge who was highly rated and went to Kilmarnock on loan and couldn’t get a sniff. Knocked him back and now he is on loan at shields. Not a dig at shields but he probably should have went to a league 2 team at the time.I wouldn't worry too much, yes I'd like to see him get more game time, but sometimes unsuccessful loans can have as big an impact as successful ones, look at Triantis and Mayenda at Hibs.
He'll be learning what it takes to break into a team in a pretty physical league
