Real shame for him. Given a clear bill of health he's probably the best striker for his country and going to the world cup. In the cold light of day he's a lad in the prime of life who would probably end up in A&E fetching some towels out of the airing cupboard.
 
I think once this contract runs down and given his injury problems I can’t see any club parting with a lot of money to get him signed. I think he either goes somewhere on a pay as you okay kind of deal or he might just call it quits. He should be financially secure and that’s a massive plus for him, and there is the rest of your life to live and those injuries could really impact that. Common sense suggest retirement and staying in the game doing coaching badges or something.
 
A fit and able Stewart would have been perfect in this side, such a shame for the lad that he is finished.
