Man City - 115 Charges

Everton were hiding behind COVID years later
Everyone hid behind Covid sure Man Utd claimed tens of millions in loses due to Chinese superstores not opening so they couldn’t sell stuff.

It’s more that people are repeating things that are either untrue or impossible to happen, City can’t be relegated, they can only have points deducted du to it being the PL and not the PL and EFL so worst they could get is championship and it’s a totally different thing to Everton and Forest who admitted they broke tbh rules also the time frames for charges and punishments were changed and agreed by all clubs.

Once the decision is released it’ll be even worse as people who know 1% will comment and spread the untruths again.

Why? Everton and Forest admitted they done wrong, City deny it. Everton tried to claim they just overspent due to interest on stadium build and that shouldn’t count on PSR. They are totally different cases and would have different punishments but mainly completely different as Everton and Forest admitted doing wrong.
City should get a really severe punishment if found guilty. anything more than a slap on the wrist and I will be surprised.

Massively embarrassing for the Premier League how long it’s taking. Since the hearing alone they’ve spent 100’s of millions £ and about to spend another fortune in January

The problem is the PL aren’t fighting a football club. They are fighting an oil rich state.

The owners of City could easily spend £50m on legal fees and then spend another £50m if things aren’t going well. The PL can’t do that.

Unless they can prove without all doubt that City cheated, you are not going to see the huge punishment some are wanting.

Imo, City will get hit with a monster fine (which Abu Dhabi will pay instantly) and then a 12-15 point reduction. Ultimately that gifts Arsenal the league but City will have enough to stay in the top 4.

They're dragging out this fine that they will end up giving them which Man City will not be affected by.
Strange how some clubs get points deducted ,yet the big boys get pocket money fines,no way will the corrupt f.a upset Man City and their title challenge ,it will be a 25 million fine which is like £30 to them and onwards with the title challenge, would love a 9 point deduction but the F.A are shit scared of upsetting the Big Boys...

City have taken the piss and are denying it and will get less a punishment than Everton and Forest

That’s why joke they’re actually denying the charges

Although the PL will be fully aware of the financial importance of City, I don’t think they are scared of upsetting them mate. The issue is, it’s not a fair fight.

As I’ve just posted, City’s owners ultimately have the resources to turn the league into a complete shambles.

If they are found guilty they should have the book thrown at them, but the punishment Everton and Forest got has nothing to do with what City should get. Everton admitted that they broke the rules, they then tried to blame it on the stadium interest but still admitted they broke the rules. City are well within their rights to deny it and throw tens of millions at it, Everton, Forest and every PL team agreed to the rules which were badly written which have allowed this.

I fully agree with you that if City are found guilty they deserve a huge punishment but what Everton admitted and their punishment has absolutely nothing to do with City. 99% of people who are doing it don’t understand the charges, that’s the issue.

Depends which part they are found guilty of tbh, there’s only really 3 charges just repeated multiple times (another stupid move by the PL). The off book payments will be solid to prove as who is the judge of how much Mancini is worth for training super rich kids? It’s all a mess but added to the mess is the fact the PL wanted to look big and powerful and instead of just going after 6 or 7 charges they when for over 115.

Didn't the Scottish F.A. relegated Glasgow Rangers to the bottom Division.... Wouldn't that be Funny.....Not sure the English F.A. have Big Enough Cojones to do that . 🍒
They could have the biggest cojones in the world but they aren’t charging City so don’t have a say in the punishment. It’s the PL so they can only deduct points which would result in City being relegated to the Championship.

This is not directed at you but proves that once the result of this case is announced it’s going to be a mess of a day as people simply don’t understand the basics like who is charging who.

No, the Scottish FA were absolute cowards and let all the clubs in the league system vote of whether Rangers should be demoted or not. Totally passed the buck.

Appreciate the cynicism but they are likely to get a substantial points deduction, probably at least 15, possibly more.

Hopefully the verdict is soon as we can all test our theories...

I think they are waiting for them to win the league cup and secure European football for next season. Hit them with a big points penalty and they finish mid table.

Penalty will pretty much be 1 season in Europa league instead of champions league. Prem league will save face by saying "well we showed them who is boss by dishing out a record points deduction".

Everton pleaded guilty FFS. Everyone acts like they were an innocent party who were stiffed because they’re not a European club. They PLEADED GUILTY
I think you're missing the point here. Everton at least had the decency to plead guilty. Many City deny all 115 charges because they know they have the legal clout that means that justice is conveniently thrown out of the window.

That was because Rangers went bust and had to effectively re-from as a new club and as such had to start at the Bottom (which they didn't). I said at the time that League Two is not the bottom of the Scottish Pyramid. Rangers should have been made to start in the South of Scotland league division 4 which I believe was the lowest lever of the increasingly complicated pyramid in Scotland at the time.

I’m not missing any point. Everton got some leeway for their plea. If Man City are found guilty, they won’t get the same leeway. That’s why it’ll be points - Everton was, and IF City are found guilty the behaviour may well be judged more heinous.

Not quite, rangers went bust & had to start again as a new club.
They actually got preferential treatment for being allowed straight back into 4th tier without a vote like they did with Airdrie when they went bust
