ID checks for away tickets

Yep, branch organisers putting in hours of voluntary work to run busses and sort tickets and millions of other things, taking coach loads to mid week away games in league one , every match season after season without fail....now all of sudden they need shutting down ..it stinks..

If we ever end up back in league one there is going egg on a lot of people's faces

It's a tricky one I agree. But I also think the branches need protection
I think everyone knows the branches do great work and deserve a lot of credit - like you say, it's not an easy one to balance but they should have to abide by the same rules as everyone else does

This has a fairly simple solution - you can gift your away ticket up to 5 times to another season ticket holder, and then put 10% of away allocation to ballot so people have some osrt of chance to build up points if they get lucky - btw I dont have enough points to gift anything but branches are magnificent and put in thankless hours to essentially get a free bus ride and very little else.

In league one and the championship? We just didn’t.
I can only remember Cardiff from the championship that we didn’t n we still had over 3000 there. As for league one we got massive allocations some places because of who we are n who we were playing we had massive numbers n our away ends were always solid numbers

How did your other two friends get tickets in the past for the games that they went to, did you just wait until the relevant phase?
it's always been mainly me & the mrs who had the most points. the others not as many but still a decent amount. for the 'glamour' games when you could average them out we always managed fine. over the years due to their circumstances and the change to ticketing criteria they've been falling further down the pecking order and nowadays have very few points. it'd be great if we could fiddle the system like the branches but we can't. also, some people want to do what's right and not cheat the system.
For some reason, the branches seem to be coming in for a bit of stick on here despite the fact, as you say, they are the life blood of the support.
no they're not. they're hugely important but they're not the be all and end all and certainly should be held accountable if they're not following the ticketing rules which judging by some replies on this thread and others they're simply not doing.
really speaking, all this is because some people just can't keep their gobs shut and not reveal to everyone what goes on.

You think corporates shouldnt get tickets despite putting more into the club to subsidise your ST. Double standards 😂
It depends what the principle is

If the club believes away allocation should go to the people who have invested the most cash into the club, then scrap the points system and put the entire allocation up for auction.

Out of curiosity does it actually say you can’t give your ticket away? I think they’ll find it hard to cancel it if you’re not in trouble but the knackered is.
I don’t know what the rules are with giving away tickets away
It’s a criminal offence.

Yes, selling a football match ticket to a friend
canbe a criminal offence in the UK if it's for a "designated football match" (Premier League, EFL, international) and done by an unauthorized person, especially for profit, under the . While selling to a friend at face value might seem harmless, it's technically an unauthorized transfer, and clubs often prohibit resale outside their official channels (like , official sites, or their own exchanges) to prevent touting, risking ticket cancellation and potentially legal trouble for both parties if it's seen as organized scalping or circumvention of rules.

Same for me yesterday mate .my 8 year old boy went in first .my ticket woudnt scan .it took 5 miniutes to get him out we waited at the ticket office to be told my ticket had already been scanned .hour later and 90 quid spent we off back home .I will never go back to man city or Liverpool they horrendous grounds for security. Thousands of stewards everywhere.its like a police state..football is about a day pf enjoyment.at Liverpool a young lad got arrested for tragedy chanting and got took to a police station .they got the wrong lad and brought him back 1 hour later
This is a disgrace mind and reading this thread is far from a one off. I really hope RAWA are bringing this up with the club because it shouldn't happen once let alone multiple times.

All this talk of 10% to a ballot needs to be knocked on the head too

People think it will give them a good chance of getting a ticket when in reality you will have literal thousands applying for those 300 (maximum) tickets (assuming it is open to all ST holders)

Even with the best of luck you're probably only going to get a tickets a couple of times a season and more likely than not, never

I think he means that Corporates should accumulate loyalty points like everyone else which is fair enough

That's the way it's working in 76 Yards. The problem is taking away the tickets from people who have corporate season tickets for years, beein going to aways for years, but never getting points because it's sat outside the ticketing system. It's a legacy from previous practice.

How do the ballots actually work? So I would apply and me son would we both be successful or just 1 of us? 🤷🏼‍♂️ only a problem now weren’t a problem down Accrington in the monsoon 🤦

76 yard people getting points? Or have I missed a post linked to this 🤦
The whole uproar over tickets is because people haven’t been arsed going over the past three seasons but want to go now…

Was never a problem over the past 15 years but let’s pander to those that couldn’t be arsed to go to Plymouth/portsmouth/ Cardiff/swansea/Bristol etc etc.
Now they want to go to the Emirates and Etihad it’s a problem 😂
Oh a gtf 🎣

They follow the rules mate. Because demand is high at the moment, they are a very easy target.

I’ve said for a while that the bigger issue is that Facebook page

Accrington in the monsoon

We have to apply through the normal system, and have the requisite number of points. It's simply following on from what was always the case for the BCB. I apply for tickets in the relevant phase the same way as anyone else. And get a point the same as everyone else. So, i started this season on 56, and currently have 62.
