ID checks for away tickets

Surely the lateness of the email is to prevent people turning up with ID and still passing their ticket on? It’s obvious why they’ve sent it so late in the day
Not thinking about it that way mate, just thinking for genuine people who don’t check emails and don’t carry ID could not get in tomorrow , going forward I’ll carry ID to aways but with it been first time they done it they should have give us notice to carry ID ( I’m sure some smart arse will say it’s in small print who takes note of that)

Who on earth is going to do that man. Christ it’s gone from people just having a grand plan of selling tickets on in the hope they will be garenteed a ticket when we got to the premier league in some master plan to them now driving a 6 hour round trip to pass the ticket on to gain a point they probably don’t need

Read above fella - I misread the email, thought it was our ticket office

So your phone replaces the need for paper tickets and payments but now you still need ID. What a joke (ps doesn't affect me as I'll have my driving licence in my wallet) but still

What would happen if the person who’s bought the ticket, and sold it on, gets the email and the other person just decides not to go? They’ll still get the loyalty point because it goes off the purchase not the scan of the ticket. Unless the scan of the ticket data does in fact go back to the club and they verify it but I doubt it slightly.

I’m not. I’ve stated a fact.
I know I'd already seen it.
I was referring to everyone now getting carried away and wanting to go.

As an exile I could pretty much pick and choose the away matches to go to and would get to a dozen or more a season, watching the delights of Shrewsbury, Cambridge and Wycombe.

Who'd have thought i could want to go through that again just to be able to see them

The club never had a problem when away ends were full in league 1.

Fans need to make a stand otherwise we’ll turn into another commercial exercise that plays footy now and then.

Does seem a bit pointless giving advance notice like. If I had sold my ticket on and got that I would just tell the person not to bother going and if I got questioned after just say I was poorly so didn’t travel

I feel like the club will need to be more transparent with this as time goes on. There’s lots of questions to be answered really

I never have id.
Some could have gone down Friday for the weekend.
It's not manageable
Clubs have been doing it years now but due to cost and time it’s only ever a very small sample. England have been doing it years as well. The club should’ve given people travelling a tiny bit more notice to take ID mind
