SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

I sit in the south stand and noticed that there was a scoreboard with time in the east stand yesterday. I’ve never noticed that before. It was on one of LED advertising screens in the middle of the stand
It was great being able to see the time. We're near the back of the south stand and the screen at our end blocks the view of the north stand screen.

The pre-game light display, with the lighthouse, horn and rain pouring down looked absolutely class.
I hoped someone else thought this. Was sceptical when they first did it but I’m won over.

It was perfect for yesterday in that pissing rain and cold, and a great way of saying to visitors where they are and that they’re going to have a tough afternoon. Our players seem to already but they have to learn to love that, like the old ‘can they do it on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke’ line from years ago.

I assumed it was used for this because the new North Stand scoreboard isn’t up yet and expect it will go back to advertising 🤔

Tbh I would expect more LED boards to appear in bare areas of the stadium
Think the fact the cameras face the east means not much room for further LED boards

Move the camera to the other side and I'm sure the club would have them round the West stand like other clubs

It's a good way of getting people off the concourse and into the stands too - people were streaming in at the sound of the fog horn.

We have a build up people want to be part of - Wise Men Say has become really special.

Ive always thought at the back of the east stand but its more off camera but aye if the cameras went to the east theres scope below and above the boxes. But as we know its all to do with the sun is why they are on the west stand

If the south stand is extended round with the east stand, I expect we’ll see some LED boards around the perimeter of it (like the supporters branch posters below the away end)

To my eternal shame I have only just noticed the ‘SUNDERLAND ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB’ signage on the east stand roof
Catchy. I like it.
It might stop twits (including some of our own fans) who refer to us as ‘Sunderland football club’ 🤢
