New Birmingham Stadium - 60k+

@Boinger What’s the word?

"Nonce"? ;)

I think I've said on here before, this can go one of two ways for me.

1) Blues do the usual, promise much but crash and burn.... Hilarious!

or

2) It all works out perfectly and they overtake the Vile as the top club in the shitehole that is Brum..... Hilarious!

One things for sure, we play them this coming midweek, guaranteed win for them, they have the hex over us, even Scott feckin Hogan scored a hat-trick against us last time.

What's that got to do with anything?
Attendances are on the rise. Look at the likes of villa, they had empty seats my lord at a time when they were singing the same song to us. Look at the averages now, I reckon they'll be close to an all time high for a lot of clubs

Know that Kyogo had a pretty torrid time in France but surprised at how poorly he seems to have started there. Watched their game against Ipswich on the opening night of the Championship and he looked one of the few bits of quality on show for either side.
He's shite. I could score goals at Celtic.

I’ve just checked the championship table for the first time.

It’s pretty tight from 2nd downwards really. Only 16 points from 2nd to 4th bottom which is mad. Any team can mount a promotion challenge with a few good consistent results - but any team could be in relegation trouble with a few bad consistent results.

Don’t think it’s wise just throwing money at a new 60k seater mind, but let them crack on.

Birmingham has a population of like 1.2m. If they do well, they'll fill it.
From working in and around Birmingham I always found that there was a decent chunk of casual Man Utd, Liverpool support rather than for a Villa, Birmingham especially in the South Asian communities. They would have to go some way to attract those fans to be able to fill a 60k stadium regularly.

Birmingham also has an Aston Villa, so you can cut that 1.2 million in half, then a bit more.
That's true, but even if you half it it's still way more than double the population of Sunderland. And a big chunk of Sunderland's population is Washington, Houghton etc which are mixed areas.

Yes we draw support from surrounding areas too, but so do they.

That shows how remarkable our support is really, but all I'm saying is having such a vast population to draw from does give them the potential to attract very big crowds if they get it right.
