Whisky

Had this in my basket for a couple of weeks and decided to bite the bullet at £99. Seems good for a 19yr SC Scapa which gets good reviews, I used to like 16yr bottling they did.

I bought a bottle myself a few weeks ago. Reminds me of an apricot danish.
The 2025 is still available at Aberdeen Whisky Shop. Easily the best KK 16 imho.

Just ordered the KK16 looking forward to trying it
Have an unopened bottle of the 2023 release might try a side by side comparison sometime

Glen Scotia 10 is £26 from £45 on nectar price in Sainsburys
I'd avoid the 10...better off with the NAS double cask which are sometimes priced around that when on offer

more sherried it seems from the bottles I've had in the past

Nipped over to Ardnamurchan at the weekend for the first, and probably last, time, it’s a much longer drive from the Corran ferry terminal than I thought along a single track road corrugated with blind bends.

I can’t say I was very impressed with the whisky. The 10yo had a new make note to it, the 2 distillery bottles were ruby port casks which isn’t to my taste and the hand fill was a PX.

Nobody nips over to Ardnamurchan. I still haven’t recovered from the trauma of the drive from Fort William which I did about 30 years ago.
Have you any insight as to which is the better of the Tomatins being released by Cadenheads on Friday?

I can remember us both commenting on this journey a couple of year's back.

I went wild camping at Ardnamurchan point 30+ years ago. Wild? I was furious etc...
