There was a lot of bottles of 12CS 2024 release on the last SWA auction recently selling for £80-85 (plus fees and postage)In the past I would have kept eyes peeled in the slight chance of locating a CS 12...don't even bother now![]()
Didn’t check last SWA…the ones before that were all around £100 plus fees and their shipping is horribly expensiveThere was a lot of bottles of 12CS 2024 release on the last SWA auction recently selling for £80-85 (plus fees and postage)
I attended a charity Glen Scotia tasting this evening led by Greg Grogan from the distillery. He was saying they are cutting production from 13 mashes per week to 8 and layoffs are incoming. A sad further indication of the slump.

It was my favourite dram of the night albeit I was in the minority,.What's the Wulver like? Loved the only other tawny Port GS I've had, although that was peated mind (14yo festival edition)
The 15 and 18 seem to be holding there prices and don't appear to be dropping £100 for 15 / £180 for 18 . The 10 year seems to go for £50Didn’t check last SWA…the ones before that were all around £100 plus fees and their shipping is horribly expensive
Would put it about £125
Might keep an eye out and buy one one day. I’d probably pay £80 plus fees and delivery
I’m in Pooley Bridge next weekend again. The 15 and 18 seem to be holding there prices and don't appear to be dropping £100 for 15 / £180 for 18 . The 10 year seems to go for £50
Aye. There’s at least one other bottle due to be released though I don’t know what.
This is a cracking deal if anyone is into bourbon and rumYou must be logged on to see external links. Bottle of rum and a bottle of bourbon for £50 combined,
Pretty sure it was the forthcoming LB that we tried at a tasting with Andrew Wallace in Newcastle the week before last. Was my dram of the night. There’s going to be a Local Barley release too, along with 5 or 6 other bottles. It will be a good time for a trip to Campbeltown. I can’t recall them previously releasing a LB in November.
Would have liked the Glasgow but unless something special I just avoid 50cl bottles. There are a few new bottles available on the new whiskybroker store:
Ardmore 12 - £55
Bruichladdich 15 - £75
Bruichladdich 20 - £120
Glasgow - £37
Jura 25 - £75
Excellent price for the ageWould have liked the Glasgow but unless something special I just avoid 50cl bottles.
Jura a good price ?
Ordered a bottle of the Jura then other day and have seen a review of it on Reddit he was very impressed with the whisky and the price especially.Would have liked the Glasgow but unless something special I just avoid 50cl bottles.
Jura a good price ?
Just checked website…is that right the Dec 12 tasting is 4 bottles chosen and two more from Lee ?For any locals that don't get involved in the monthly tastings that Lee 'Connas' Connors puts on in Newcastle I'd recommend you check them out and give him your support. He a great fella (and lads fan) and gets some very good guests.
We had a cracking 9 dram night with Oliver Chilton from Elixir last night with 3 Tormore Blueprint, 3 Tormore Legacy a Westland, Chichibu and Laphroaig. The Chichibu was sublime and the 33yo Laphroaig sensational.
Tastings held at The Common Room which is only 100yds from Central Station so easy transport. Dave Broom coming up next Saturday night (most tastings are Friday nights). Check out his website atYou must be logged on to see external linksand give him your support![]()
Run up to Christmas so difficult for him to get a guest presenter that night so he's basically just given 4 regulars a £100 budget to buy and present a bottle alongside some of his own. It's not a normal tasting with a distillery guest presenting, It's usually about £45 as the guest will often 'subsidise' the drams for promotional purposes.Just checked website…is that right the Dec 12 tasting is 4 bottles chosen and two more from Lee ?
£50 not on the steep side ?
