Sheff Wed - financial issues

In simple terms, does administration mean he no longer owns the club? Or does he have to agree to a sale still?

Does the club own the ground?
Once the administrators are in the don't need the permission of Chansiri to sell, however it doesn't mean he's automatically gone - Ken Bates at Leeds put them into administration but came out owning the club via another consortium. Chansiri also owns Hillsborough through - sold it from the club to himself so any new owner will have to do a separate deal with Chansiri for that.

Thanks. Who agrees how much any new owners pay for the club?

The ground thing is a ball ache

You can tell how deeply in the shit SW are, and how horrendous their situation is when you have a serious sports journalist cheering on administration as a positive step for them.

The clowns who write and oversee the rules governing football club ownership should hang their heads in shame at this and many other debacles.

It will be the administrators who decide that based on how much is owed to creditors, their main job is to get an offer which would allow those creditors to get what's owed to them. No idea who Sheff Wed owe money to apart from HMRC.

The local media are saying the company who owns the stadium is getting put into administration too, so that looks like very good news for them as that means it can be brought back under the club if the right offer comes in.

Chansiri loses control. As of now, the administrators run everything. The administrators will sell the assets, ideally as a going concern, to a new company with new owners. I think they still own Hillsborough.

This is important. It will presumably be the same firm doing it, which means they can sell both the club assets and the ground to the same buyer,
