South Shields FC 25/26 Thread

Probably about 20 years ago mate. Signed for us but was picked up pretty quickly by Hetton for Sunday morning. Was when Hetton ruled Sunday morning footy nationwide
Late to this, just realised who the manager is. Aye, he tortured us(washy arms) a couple of times whilst playing for Hetton. Class little player. Was talking to him the other night. He was saying he loves being manager, but hates telling the players they arent playing.Always thought he might be a bit 'too nice' to be a manager, but ,fair play, they are flying

Mental that this is being referred to 8 years later. Bitter Morpeth fan?
Well, have we forgiven Jimmy Hill ?
I was at both games. All set for a short drive to see the rescheduled game and then found out it was to be played at Morpeth. Just made it in time. At least Morpeth had already won the Vase at Wembley - I think their match with Hereford was a record final crowd.
Looks like the days of Northern League clubs regularly supplying Vase finalists are well and truly over.

Hoping for a southern based away draw. Selfish on my part but would love it.

That'd be perfect at Swindon for me

You would be made welcome.🍺
When they signed Paul Blackett I text my mate who is part of the management team at SS and said "you've got a proper player there"

62 goals in 100 games later I text him tonight reminding him of how right I was (am)

I watched them at Banbury a few seasons back and he stood out.
Stood in the away end which was a good laugh.
Met up with Martin Smith and Tom Broadbent at the final whistle. Martin Smith is a smashing lad.
