Diarra out till December


At the end of the day, we will get injuries to key players and it is what having a strong squad is all about. He is the first but won't be the last so people (Rigg, Neil. Le fee), will be expected to step up. But we will miss his energy.
 
There is no reason not to believe this is true. Great opportunity for someone else to step up and blend with the first team and show what they can bring to the table.
If just a doubt then hopefully nothing too serious.
Diarra will be foaming at the mouth if we get a Penalty though :).

Probably games where both of them and Xhaka will be needed.

But home against a poor Villa side I actually think Xhaka, Sadiki and Le Fee (If he is back fit) is a better option. It’s the typical midfield 3 of a DM, a runner and a creator.

Le Fée or Neil, most likely start with Le Fée. Those mentioning Geertruida, Le Bris mentioned when Sadiki first picked up a knock against Palace it would have been Neil to come on, but later in the game when Sadiki did come off he went with Geertruida as more of a defensive option because Palace were going more direct.

Talbi's shown fuck all to deserve to continually start so far. Hopefully it's Adingra and Le Fee (if fit), Mayenda or Traore as the wide players tomorrow.

The kid's coming to a new team in a new country playing at a domestic level that he's not played at before, natural that not everyone's gonna be flying right from the off. Hope we give him a break and rotate a little. Or alternatively he starts and scores eighteen.
 
The biggest miss at the moment would be Roefs. Think Diarra is gonna be terrific but I think we can cover for him. If Le Fee is ok then he's in centre mid for me. If not I'd be playing Riggy. If Diarra was scanned and all clear then maybe he is still ok to play? But guess as a precaution he would rest up.
 
I think Rigg would be up for it, my only reservation would be his pace in comparison but maybe that has improved. Technically he is up there for sure but both Diarra and Sadiki put a lot of miles in and at pace, in part that allows Granit to sit back and pick his plays
