Because their owners are prepared to put the money in to try and make it happen. Just like Ipswich the year before.
We are relying on Speakman and the rest of our recruitment team to make up for our owners unwillingness to spend when it counts .
They have done a great job to get us to where we are now but they need some backing.

Similarly there were 3 lasses at the top of Wembley way who told me my eyes would be red raw from all my tears after my long journey home that night, rather like Coventry fans they all thought they just had to turn up to win. There was a Sheff Utd fan walking through our lot on Wembley Way giving it the big’un before the play-off final. He was singing ‘Its a long way back to Sunderland when you’re shit’. Most people were looking on in disbelief at the brass neck of him, he was lucky no one took real issue with him cos there were no other Sheff Utd fans in site. I always have a little giggle in honour of him every time they lose.
I suspect that there isn't a country in the world where you can hide from this thread.Holy crap, is @wicketkeeper still on here after this?
I'd have fled the country if I showed myself up like this
