Essex v Durham County Championship 8-11 Sept

Imagine if we'd batted normally. We'd have probably been close to a lead by now putting Essex under pressure to keep our lead as low as possible.

Honestly could not care if both Campbell & North the lack of any fight or heart like the players could not give a toss.

I can’t stomach another pathetic interview from Campbell after another thrashing!

If they conspire to lose this game from the start they had in the game its pretty shameful and sets a worrying marker for the final few games

Evidence suggests that Bostock and North care neither about the club nor the it's members. Bostock is quoted as calling us Luddites and leaves a meeting, the date of which he agreed, when challenged on his actions. North's recruitment and retention of staff does not suggest that he wishes the team to move forward.Their focus appears to be on acquiring a Hundred Franchise that won't belong to the Durham brand.
Durham CCC RIP

Paying the price for not making 450 plus first innings and North’s disgraceful player pick ups he’s signed so much rubbish especially with the ball.

Not even division 2 standard the attack fielded in this game just laughable and very sad.

The club has completely gone away from what made it a success. Bedders is class but he has treated this season like a net for South Africa.

Kept playing Ackerman despite failing 10 games in a row he was awful in the one day cup as well.

Lose this and gone mate would have to win last 2 not a chance the we are playing only won 2 all season.

I've been a member at Durham for 22 years and for the life of me can't understand this regime! we never have a settled batting lineup, even though there is talent there. Our bowling attack this season is by far the worst we've had since becoming professional. Yet we give our head coach a contract extension with relegation looming! Sad times

Must because of Cambells record in Div2

Imho. This is all down to the bowling.

The batting is good enough, and I think it's a lot better than it's showing here, however if the bowling is weak the batting can't compensate and the pressure tells. Seen oit time and time again.

The big questions are: Why is the bowling weak and why are so many bowlers injured fore pretty much the whole season and/or not good enough (yet). All this business of getting load bowlers and at minute recruit are a sympton not the cause.
