It was a very fluid system. He was inside one minute with Reinildo on the touchline, then ELF was out left, then it'd change again.

Clearly it was tactical and saying as we won the game, you can't say it didn't work. But shows we won't play a rigid system this season and it'll be down to what is best for the game we are playing.

As an attacking force perhaps but he was everywhere and closing down or perfectly tackling throughout. His ability on the ball came in to its own later but he certainly wasn’t quiet.

Yeah, saw that. There were a canny few times when Xhaka dropped back as well.

There was a period he controlled a ball going out of play, with his back to the defender and ball on the touchline. He simply danced the cha-cha-cha to get away from his man. Never looks like not coming away with the ball. Was saying to my son his first touch, control and skill movement is so fluid.
