It makes me feel old to even say this, given he was the fresh new hope not too long ago, but he's done as a serious, top level manager now, yeah?

I mean, would anyone want him here, for example?

Probably the best manager in the world for a decent chunk of time until he started believing in his own hype and he disappeared up his own arse.

It's a shame as he never seemed the type to lose touch but I think he gets filed away as a dinosaur now.

Not every club.

He'll be right up the street of a lot of owners still I bet. Either those out of step with modern football, who want the publicity, or just think they can still make it work.

Only the big fish get their full remaining contracts paid up these days. One years pay is the industry standard now. The bigger a name you are and the more desperate the club are that is trying to get you onboard the more your agent can push your luck regarding termination of contract payouts.
