SOL expansion

Why would reform stop regeneration, strange thoughts. More likely if greens or lib dems got in would thing stop.

Because they'd mothball the entire redevelopment programme as it costs money.
If corporate expansion is the driver it makes sense to do east stand first as you can do a hell of a lot more with that extra space but its alot more seats to fill with ordinary punters.

If you do south stand first you get the sensible incremental seating capacity uplift bit not much extra corporate.

If you do the Spurs style one end of full seating you get zero corporate addition, and the club will not want that.

I dont think its as straightforward a decision as first looks.

But the club's hand may be forced if they need to get the South Stand out of the way before the Sheepfolds gets done.
End game will be south stand extension and corporation in the east stand.

Can't do corporate in the East without extending it outwards, because of the infrastructure needed to support it.
If that figure is accurate then there is no justification for expanding the stadium.

It’s the right size after the North Stand ext was completed.

If there was money to be spent on the ground I would rather it was spent on improving the facilities that we have.

Anyone whose been to Wembley has experienced a premium offering in terms of stadium facilities and comfort.

The concourses could be more spacious and the toilets could be improved and also the catering outlets.

£8k sold and a waiting list. We have to make 5% of capacity available for match day sales. There's literally no spare capacity left.

Just build it. Make the seats bigger, make the concourse bigger and increase the corporate facilities. Make the whole match experience more appealing for everyone.

Whinging about what might happen following a relegation is just holding the club back. Even if relegated, the facilities would be there for the return, same as with every club. Considering what KLD initially paid for the club, he could easily expand the whole ground relatively cheaply and still make a tidy profit if he decided to sell up whilst in the PL. Not saying he would though, as I honestly believe he has ambitious plans for the club.

Spot on.
Looks dated to fuck

It won't be anything like that. It's a basic concept.

When the North Stand was extended what impact did it have? I'm curious about long it took and also how much capacity was lost during the work

Zero capacity lost. No roof on north stand for half a season as i got a bit wet and colder! Essentially, it's designed like a kit stadium..
take off the roof and foundations are already in place to build the next tier...
Assuming you broadly follow the same plans when expanding.

It took 8 months to build and no capacity was lost. Its such an easily extendable Stadium design as the new upper tier is supported by a new structure that just attaches to the existing steelwork, the roof coming off is the only complicated part of the build.
The South Stand would lose Rows 42-44 at the back as they wont be there following the extension so capacity would drop around 300 during construction.
