Newcastle United 🇸🇦 v 🔴 Liverpool EPL Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Premier League Kick off 20:00

This is it, they are everywhere and want every ball. Yes it can be rough etc. but honestly don't think there were that many fouls they got away with tbh, a few but not every one.
The only thing that irks me is “the totting up process” does not seem to apply to them. Can’t remember a game I’ve watched them (and it’s not many tbf) where they shouldnt have had either or both of joelinton or Bruno sent off.

Before they equalised, should be at least ten minutes stoppage time, but I bet there will only be 3.
After they equalise and there is 11 minutes stoppage time, that’ll be right let’s play until Liverpool score 😂
Irony being Rio scored in the 9th 🤣

They really are a breed apart like.

None of the chances created prior to the sending off were from frantic, long ball football.
Slot therefore is wrong. Probably would have been more magnanimous of him to say they were second best, got lucky but happy with the win etc etc

Don't Newcastle consistently have one of, if not the lowest "ball in play" times in the PL?

I'm not having a go, it works, but their game plan is clearly built around shithousing, niggly fouls in the opposition half to stop counters where they are less likely to receive cards, and creating chances off set pieces.

I think so. And they're usually at the lower end for sequences of 10+ passes and at the higher end for direct speed.

I actually think it's quite a fun style of play, as you're always on the edge and only ever a couple of moments away from a chance, even out of possession

Newcastle desperately need a striker!!!
Like the look of that Ekitike thought. That’s twice I have seen him. Both games he has done almost nothing, other than score. Will get a lot better.
As much as your brethren's tears are sustaining me this morning, you are right. Liverpool's abject defence were struggling to contain Gordon and your right wingers pace, and with a proper centre forward one of those chances probably would have gone in. Mags were unlucky to not take anything out of that game, but Gordon's loopy challenge is the main reason why they didn't.
