Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

Tweets now saying that Lucumi might get lawyers on the case to force the move

Think this rule is in place to protect players coming to the last contract or two of their careers. Lucumi is a prime example of this, must be somewhat frustrating from a players perspective to have an offer to treble your wages but the club is holding you back, especially as it’s potentially at the peak of your careers earning potential.

How do you know how Mukiele will perform as a centre-back in the Premier League ? He has never played in the Premier League at all, in any position.
Regis has literally said one of his positions is right sided CB as well. If he’s needed at CB then he’ll play there

On Lucumi I feel certain this one will be done. His side seem to be doing everything they can to force it. A CB making it clear he’s half arsing it (as per their managers quotes) is something no team can afford

Don’t understand any club keeping someone when they’re obviously wanting away. It’s a great deal for the club and for him. I could understand if we were low balling them etc but after three years there they’ll be making a nice profit on him. This one will get done just think they’re making it hard as they’re notorious for doing so. Glad he hasn’t stopped training or playing but not sure how wise it is to pick someone who’s obviously not in the right headspace.

I think I read that he went there for €7m

Not sure I like the sound of this mind (but then again I’m too lazy to read the article)
Footballing laws are crazy, let’s be honest if a player really really forced through a movement of trade case it could blow open the whole of football as we know it. As it is buying and selling humans to play a sport for someone else is just agreed upon because everyone normally wins but if it was really taken to the highest courts it would be interesting what football would look like if the case went the wrong way.

Indentured slavery, albeit a very highly paid and very comfortable lifestyle. Surprise AI up the road isn't looking at that route out.

Dude sounds like a mercenary tbh. We all laugh at Newcastle and the Isak situation but he's not far off doing the same.

Not sure you want that attitude in your dressing room.
