Obviously that permission is the key thing, otherwise it is 'tapping up'.

Unless a club really want to keep a player whatever the offer then it makes sense to let the new club talk to a player about potential terms. They don't want to end up in an 'Alderlete' situation - it helps no-one, and both clubs will have wasted time and energy negotiating a deal.

Nope hey are aiming higher than o9 ..they've persuaded Juklie Newmar coming out of retirement for the role to keep the heaven branch happy!

I reckon sometimes the bickering and handbags from selling club is a smokescreen to placate the fans and let them think that (we want to keep this player etc) they have tried. Reality is that 20m plus is big big money for all but 3 or 4 clubs in Italian footy

I genuinely don't think we need him now. We've got Alderete, O'Nien and Reinildo who can play on the left side of defence... Possibly Cirkin too at a push.
Use the money for him and the winger money and just get amad. Seriously it makes perfect sense!

We can't be relying on O'Nien like, we've got no idea how he will do. Reinildo also needs to be kept at LB or that will severely weaken that area.

Just get Lucumi done.

And forget about Amad, not happening.

O'Nien isn't PL standard and he's too short. Cirkin CB in the PL? I hope you're joking. I think Lucumi can play on the right side too, I don't think he's coming as Alderete's back-up.
