Abdul Fatawu - continuing news

Whilst obviously the main topic of the post is Abdul Fatawu, the other player mentioned towards the end, Christantus Uche, of Getefe, seems to be some player.

Fatawu has the slight advantage that he wouldn't count as an over-21 years player. His arrival might presage the departure of Patrick Roberts, as it seems unlikely that the club would want five wingers in the squad.

The under-21 and over-21 counts are beginning to be important considerations. Obviously, we can have as many U-21s as we like. However, in addition to the eleven U-21s in the current squad, there are now 23 over-21s (if Nna Noukeu, Pembélé, Anderson, Matete, Browne, Poveda, Ba, Semedo and Rusyn are removed as being surplus to requirements). Which means there are only two slots immediately available, before existing players would have to be dropped from the squad.
 
If we can't get him I'd love for us to try for Bakwa from Strasbourg. Was being heavily linked with Forest which says a lot but they've signed Hutchinson now so not sure he's on their radar anymore
