I don't really think so, at least not with the main defensive stats. To a small degree, if looking at limited data, then it might work like that, but when you have a more complete range of stats to look at then they paint a clearer picture. eg if we look at aerials won, simply having a high number of aerials won could mean that your team is playing tight, forcing more crosses into the box, and therefore you might see a higher number. But that doesn't mean you are a great defender, because you could win a lot of headers and still only win 30% of them. So you have to look at both the number of headers won and the percentage of headers won.
