Is Trai Hume good enough for the Prem?

I fully understand the need for the club to upgrade our squad and the players we finished with last year would have had no chance . I do feel a bit sad however , that the team that we had , loved and identified with is now unrecognizable from last year .
Still , I suppose you have to forget about sentiment if you want to be successful.
Aye I feel like this even though I’m incredibly excited by all the new players and in fact I’m hankering for more additions…..but yeah, I love and will always love that team from last year.

Would be a fair price if we were selling him in 2015, aye.

He’s got plenty of time left on his deal, seems to be happy here and we’re not in a position where we have to sell to buy. It’s nothing like a fair price.
I mean all of that applies to Leo Hjelde anarl, how much would you quote for him, £30m?

We’d be paying more than that for a replacement so unless he wants to go then I can’t see it happening.
He deserves a chance this season as do all of the promotion winning players. They won’t all get the chance though and those that do get it won’t all take it. Would be nice to see a few of them step up.

Really like Hume, but he struggled against Gordon and also struggled against Fulham couple years ago. Would love him to step up, but think its 50/50 atm.

I agree and historically he has definitely struggled against really good players, but we have also seen a steady improvement in him since then. His versatility is also in his favour.
Wonder what we value him at…

We might be about to find out.

Stick or twist KLD, its over to you.

Not helped at all by Beale's system with a compact midfield allowing Pritchard on the right to roam. Meant Hume was continually isolated and even doubled up on - that's not how a team plays.

At this stage he's a young lad who's learning, we need to support him and have strength around him.

Crosses the ball well

Gives away too many free kicks (amount of people he pulls down).

Not sure 10 mill is enough to make me not want to keep him even as a squad player.
