I hope you have a shit time and it rains all day.I’ve watched it each year. Barely watch full games, mind.
Going to a game this year for the first time (as in first Hundred game).
It’s surely a bit of extra cash for the likes of Paul Walter, so there’s some positives.
Are you going up challenge who you feel is doing this or just snipe from the background? The revisionism on this thread is Trumpesque

As the Guardian article confirms they have not considered any evidence. They aren’t interested. But you don’t need evidence for this one. It’s an inevitable consequence of downgrading the county tournament to second tier status. Look at Welsh domestic rugby to see how regional franchises destroy the club game.I wonder if the ECB have considered the evidence for the damage it has done to the county teams since its introduction has coincided with a sharp decline in T20 attendances and the schedules have been sacrificed at the expense of domestic cricket in order to prioritise the Hundred.
Your first sentence is what I've said for a while. I've never known anything like it.It really is a case of a sporting body sabotaging it's own sport.
All for the sake of money. And I'm not talking about the money going to the counties either. Those at the ECB and the county CEOs will get a good drink our of this.
Amazing how Richard Thompson was against the 16.4 until he became the head of the ECB.

I don’t mind having it on if there’s nowt else on but I’ll never buy into the propaganda that it’s our best limited overs comp and also that it’s made Cricket more popular. If anything I think Cricket has declined in relevancy since it came in.The 16.4 circus is back.
Ringmaster Richard Thompson with his 8 white elephants and plenty of clowns.
No Bostock the Clown this year though.

Could be good news. The only way it can be profitable to the owners is if it attracts Indian viewers and it'll only attract them if it contains a majority of Indian players -the Indians are very parochial. Consequently less England domestic players involved resulting in the Metro Cup becoming less of a development competition. Enjoy the Metro Cup and ignore the noise from the bairns' tournament.Richard Thompson reckons Indian players could soon play in the 16.4 lol.

He could be right. If the owners move this tournament to India to form an IPL2 as I think they will do.
