Swindon Town 25/26 thread

Good Luck to the Robins!!!

With Holloway in charge you have a chance to be there or thereabouts...He certainly got your Lads pointed in the Right Direction last Season.

As for off the field....Fecking Idiots in charge...Hope you get some movement there but wouldn't hold me breath if I was a Robin.

All the Best Kidda.

Ha'way the Lads and Up the Pools!!!!

Well here we go again.
In an attempt not to piss off a few I promise to abide by keeping all things Swindon to this thread.
Notwithstanding just ignore if you desire.

In typical Swindon fashion plenty going on:

Tomorrow we start the campaign on the road with a trip to Walsall. Taking over 2,200 fans so should be a good atmosphere and all in support of the Holloway factor. Sold over 1,000 tickets already for our away Cup tie to Cardiff. Travelling tomorrow by train thus looking forward to a few 🍺🍺.

Off the field dare we believe. Our stand redevelopment was stopped in its tracks by the fans vote, a debatable no and fingers up to the Aussie Plumber that he is not fit for purpose in taking this club forward.
Not only this but real promise is gathering on not a case of “if” but “when” we finally rid the club of these incompetent wrong uns. Hoping he takes what is in the table as going legal will only slow down the inevitable. The day he and his cronies are gone will be a promotion winning feeling.

On the field we have secured almost the same side that Holloway took from the bottom to just failing short of a play off. In addition we have signed a few and confidence is high. What possibly could go wrong, this after all is Swindon where something negative is always around the corner.
All eyes on Jake Tabor the non league hot shot signed from Amersham way down the football pyramid. The next Charlie Austin? Only time will tell and a big step up. Billy Bodin (Son of the legendary Paul) has pledged his final season to his local club, all those years when Di Canio pushed him out.

Holloway has done a terrific job in bringing in players that want to be part of the Club and play for him.
The one and only bright spark in a sea of shite.
MK Dons in my opinion will take some stopping however we are more than capable of going one step better and a play off should be minimum. All hope though first around the ownership.

Here we go again .
Good luck marra!

Your two days too late SOT. Had my annual footie bets with mates on Wednesday and I thought about your lot but went for Walsall instead.

Wish you all the best for the season

I'm intrigued to see how your boys do. Tough fixture tomorrow potentially but it'll give you a guide.

Beyond MK Dons, who look to be using the Wrexham/Stockport way out of the league, who do you think will do well? I've got soft spots for both Cambridge (live there) and Tranmere (family have all moved to the Wirral). Suspect the latter will struggle again, no idea about the former. The bookies think Chesterfield will do well, behind MK Dons.

Apart from MK Franchise who I despise it’s a fairy open race this season.
Once we rid the club of over £2 million and rising admin costs and put this back into the playing budget we should have enough once and for all to get out of this woeful league. It truly is shocking.🤞
Cheers matey 👍🏻 best of luck at Warsaw tomorrow and for the season ahead ⚽

Apart from the trip to Poland and in touching distance of the Orient express out of Marylebone its business as usual.
Already been to Barnet however Cardiff in the cup a new ground.

Slugs 🤣
The away games will be because it's away from Swindon.

As the away contingent sung at Harrogate.
“We want to stay here, Swindon’s a shit hole we want to stay here.”
Correct....Walsall is pretty dire mind......Was down there a few Seasons back for Hartlepools first game of the Season, Pools got beat 4-0 with ex Heed player Danny Johnson scoring a Hat Trick.....Hope Danny gets a hat trick first game this Season as He plays for the Mighty Monkey Hangers now ...

Take a coat Swindon Lad it's fecking freezing in the Away End..

More straw in that away end to keep us warm.
Best of luck mate I was in Swindon 2 weeks ago visiting my wife's brother and family and drove past the ground a bit different from the stadium of light

You drove through the roundabout.
Hoy up your medal then 🤣
Aye, he’s won us over this lad. We love a fan who knows their team is shite. Nice change from weirdos coming on and telling us Wigan are going to dominate Europe or whatever.

Good luck, Swindon. Slugs.

A great poster on our forum and well accepted. A great example of a 100% committed fan home and away. Hope you have a successful season.

Personally I think your manader will get you to the playoffs,
