Is Keith Downie forgiven?

One poster was updating the Downie thread every time he was at the ground or the mags training ground. Was a bit pathetic.
Genuinely feels like Mag behaviour. Our fans rising to it is frankly so embarrassing. Don’t really have a strong opinion of him but he turns our fans into primates.

I wouldn't even know his name if I easn't on here. Sky Sports in general have invested massively in the Skunks since the days of Johnny Hall has only got one ball. They wet themselves 8ver Kegoon, 'The Entertainers', the ecientifically unsound 'Everyone's favourite other team" then took up the local 'The Toon' so that you have all kinds of fruity accents pontificating about the 'Toon Army' like they've used the term from the cradle, it's as weird as Alan Brazil popularising the Scottish 'numpty' which sounds fine spoken by a Scot but weird from the mouth of Darren from Dagenham and Mary from Margate.

Downie, like print journalists Luke Edwards and George Caulkin and their ilk, got the cans out for the Saudis and offered no reasoned perspective.

Downie barely mentioning us whilst out of the Premier League is as much to do with the Premier League being all that really countz to Sky and hardly his editorial decision.

Forgive him? I mostly forget all about him. He is inconsequential.

He stood outside ST James’ crying happy tears because they were taken over by them barbaric twats man fuck him

This, mental how anyone at the club or fans would give him the time of day.

Only wants to be involved with us now we’re spending a bit and things are looking up. I won’t forget him and others like him they way they fawned over the Saudi takeover.

Morals lower than a snakes belly.

FTM

Ah he’s just a bloke doing a job man. If us and the mags went down and boro came up he’d be down there piping off Steve Gibson. It’s the way of the world.

I don’t hate the lad. But he did go on daft with their takeover and fawned over them a ridiculous amount. Not as bad as Luke Edwards dancing in his dining room mind.

came across as a thoroughly decent chap on the podcast and as he points out.. he covers who Sky tell him to cover.. no surprise there’s no interest from head office in covering Sunderland slogging it out against Cheltenham or Stokes U21’s on a rainy Tuesday night.
Welcome back to the fold, sir.

Obviously now a MLF since promotion and has had the Mags rattled with our constant transfer updates and excitement at our signings. It’s a yes from me.

Downie. Same thing
In all honesty he's a decent bloke , I spoke to him on Monday outside the SOL for about 10 minutes, spoke very highly about us and was excited about the Xhaka deal. He was really polite no issues at all 👌🏻👍

He's reliable as a reporter, but he definitely had a period where he fancied himself as a 'local personality' and still uses social media as an ego boost, getting into daft fights with Fishpaste and the like.

What we really need is the return of David Craig's dulcet tones, fond memories of him standing in the cold outside Newcastle's training ground telling us "they're only expecting outgoings" every single deadline day.

His worst nightmare us going up to fair to him knows his audience as far as they concerned realised very quickly that he had to tow the the line and tickle there insecurity about being a big club and mag propaganda famous no 9 rubbish has had loads of snide digs at us but let’s all forget about this because he has done a podcast with roker report
