Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

Bologna Transfer Market: Jhon Lucumi Is No Longer Up for Sale

Dan Ndoye's fairytale with the rossoblù has reached the end credits, while Jhon Lucumi will continue to wear the Bologna jersey . The club had built a wall: between the Swiss and the Colombian, only one of the two will leave the city. Well, yesterday it was confirmed that the match winner of the Coppa Italia final will leave Bologna, while the central defender remains locked in Bologna.
The Rossoblu management has already spoken with Lucumi
: regardless of possible offers from Sunderland or the interest of teams like Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, and Betis, the Colombian will remain in Bologna . The Premier League club had attempted to make a move by increasing the fee to €25 million(including bonuses), coming close to the Rossoblu's asking price of €28 million, but to no avail. Jhon Lucumi is no longer in the spotlight and, with his contract expiring in 2027, answers are awaited regarding his renewal .

I’m posting it but don’t believe it for a second

Feels exactly like the Xhaka situation.

- They want a bit more money

- his contract is up in 2 years

- they are actively scouting and offering for a replacement CB

- only noise is coming from Italian papers

All feels like negotiation tactics to me

...I did post this, this morning.....you and others said it was a load of shite ;)

People really need to realise that we're trying to buy good players with options of where to go. We're not scrabbling around the bargain bin any more. Of course the players (and the selling clubs for that matter) won't just jump at the first offer going, they'll want to wait and see to extract the most value for themselves.

This is why so much happens on deadline day - it's not desperation or leaving it till the last minute, it's when everyone has a clear picture of maximum value. Obviously we'd all rather it happens earlier, but when both parties have to agree to meet somewhere in the middle it's nowhere near that straightforward

Absolutely agree on the reasoning, but our issue is that the vast majority of our "easiest" for the entire season all occur either prior to or within a week of the window closing.

We are desperate to get 2 x CB's and a GK in ASAP, and ideally prior to the West Ham game.

Another Xhaka situation, Bologna want more money, we will offer a certain amount below that, we’ll then compromise on the final fee.

Can see it happening soon

Big Jhon will have had his head turned now, and we'll tell them he wants away.

Only a matter of time before he's wearing our red n white.
