Oh there’s no doubt we’ll get a good stuffing when we play the top teams, but there’s a large set of middling to lower order teams I fancy our chances against, WHU being a case in point, the first match will be a good test. Having said that, I’d take 4th bottom now.Agree, I’m not saying we’re gonna be safe by Christmas or anything like that but I really think it’s gonna be a very different premier league bottom this season. A few clubs have had iffy few months. Teams like Brentford Bournemouth are just two that may struggle. West Ham finished the season with their fans moaning again I expect them to sack their manager before Christmas. Wolves too there’s so many clubs with question marks over them this season. We will still be down there along with Leeds and Burnley but I really fancy at least one to stay up this season.
if it goes tits up I hope everyone will remember that the owners have given it a fair crack.Think we just need to wait and see, we have shown a lot of ambition but a slow start with our winnable games and the mood on here will soon change.
I used to enjoy it around 6 years ago or so, but it's not that interesting really IMO. Just listening to people talk about football with little genuine insights (apart from the European experts they sometimes have on).I like this podcast, but they are so big 6 and premier league focussed it becomes tiresome, and at times they sound a wee bit out of touch. They’re big mag sympathisers too.
relegated before we kick off - I think we’re going to make a few so called football pundits look silly this season
Pretty much this, 3 promoted will always be favourites to drop again, the squad depths are always gonna be a problem initially, couple of key injuries and we will be scrambling again. See what happens when the season startsI love SAFC as much as anyone, but its hardly a surprise based on last couple seasons and how promoted teams have got on, that we're deemed as one of the favourites to go down.
Agreed. If we can replicate what we've done to midfield at the front and the back we'll be mid-table.I’ve seen enough of our midfield already to know it can match a good few teams in the bottom half of the PL. if we sign a couple CBs and a striker I’ll be confident we stay up like
We're still favourites to go down. It's not surprising. It is a risk signing these youngsters with no premier league experience.
It might turn out really well, but equally, it might not. I'm more than happy to see us use this approach rather than signing the likes of Longstaff.
Ever remember that player Leicester signed from the French second tier,,,,,, Mahrez. We're still favourites to go down. It's not surprising. It is a risk signing these youngsters with no premier league experience.
