He'd have a different role here, which he is well capable of playing.
At Liverpool he played as a box to box and had players like Gerrard or Fabinho behind him. Here he'd play deeper and have the likes of Le Fee, Diarra and Sadiki ahead of him.

I genuinely cant believe how some don’t see it! The lad for nothing when you look at the current average age of the squad and now with the age of the signings we have made he will have a massive positive influence on the field and probably more importantly off it.

I really hope he comes. I think he would play a huge part in our season. It’s all well and good signing these players we have but he would bring loads of experience and we desperately need it. We still have no players that have played in the PL bar Adigngra when he signs.

We will have lots of lads coming in of different backgrounds and ages, with maybe a few strong characters and big egos amongst them, and they’re going to need gelling together with the help of a strong captain.
Henderson would be just the man for the job. Has great experience and would command instant respect.
