Leeds agree £10m for Longstaff

My work colleague is a s/t holder and said it's dross watching him week in week out. Over the moon they're getting shot.

Not really going to kick Leeds on and improve them significantly though.

I believe there are add ons too...
Well they've lost Rothwell from last season and replaced him with a better player. Looks like an improvement to me for not a massive outlay

Yeh, good signing.

He is a proven Premier League player.

Canny player in my opinion!
Well he certainly fits the bill as a PPLP (whatever that actually means) that many on here seem to crave, but he wouldn't be my choice, and there'll be no return on that £10m which makes it a bigger risk than the lads we are signing IMO. His wages will be bigger too, I would imagine.

People will laugh but I think that's a pretty solid signing for a promoted side*

* Obviously not us as he's a head chopping bell ringer
Yeah I agree.

You see a lot of posts on here about needing Premier League experience, and he's played a lot of games in the Prem at a pretty high standard.

It could be a very good signing, but he could also be one of those players who look like utter dog shite without the better players around him. Suppose it depends who else Leeds bring in to compliment him but 10m looks a decent fee for that level of experience in today's market.

The mags will be gutted as they just want a team that tries and trying hard was about 90% of his game. Wonder who they will bring in to replace him?
