You could see Lineker was very nervous when he started but I think he grew into a very good presenter. This is coming from someone who thinks he's a bit of a tit as well.

Lineker was good, but Des was next level , not see the likes again.
I never once felt that Des was doing anything other than presenting the games, he could be funny but you never felt he had an angle. This modern approach of editorialising and being controversial does nothing for me. The content created the ratings for Des (that's not to slag him), I prefer that to ex-pros' thinking they are bigger than the content.

Des.. footballs Swiss Tony.Huge debate in the Houghton Comms the other night with Falcsy and Walry. Who was better at hosting/hersting the PL highlights? Lynam just got on with it didn't he without any fuss but I know this forum is very fond of GL.
I would be interested in hearing the thoughts of @Rocky77, @Fetch Fletch and @Good Teeth Keith especially.
